Dear Heather
What if the key to changing the world starts with understanding ourselves?
Welcome to Dear Heather — the podcast where mental health meets consciousness, neuroscience meets spirituality, and raw human experience meets real solutions. Hosted by Heather, a mental health advocate, super feeler, and someone who has walked through the fire of depression, anxiety, and devastating loss, this show exists for one reason: to bring awareness to the things that are breaking us and start building what will actually heal us.
Each episode is a deep dive into the full spectrum of what it means to be human — from the neuroscience of rewiring your brain and the power of neuroplasticity to the mystery of angel numbers, synchronicity, and collective consciousness. From the epidemic of youth mental health and men’s mental health to the broken systems failing the people who need them most.
From quantum physics and Schumann resonance to the quiet, radical act of learning to love yourself.
This is not surface-level self-help. This is alchemy — transforming pain into purpose, suffering into awareness, and silence into conversation.
Here’s what you can expect: real interviews with mental health professionals, neuroscientists, healers, and everyday humans who have survived the darkest of days and found their way back to the light. Every episode carries an educational element — because understanding the root cause of our suffering is the first step to ending it. We confront what isn’t working — the healthcare systems, the stigma, the disconnection — and we start talking about what will.
Dear Heather was born from personal experience. Heather is one of five brothers’ sister who lost a brother to mental illness. She has navigated her own battles with depression and anxiety for most of her life. She knows what it feels like to carry the weight of the world because you can feel everything — and she turned that into a mission: if the suffering of others hurts you, then help dismantle what’s causing it.
Whether you are on a healing journey, seeking change, or simply curious about why the world feels the way it does right now, this podcast will meet you where you are. We explore the spiritual and the scientific — yoga, meditation, and frequency healing alongside trauma recovery, emotional regulation, and the psychology of empathy. We talk about the woo-woo and the clinical. The 5D and the everyday. The mystical and the deeply practical.
Because mental illness is an epidemic. And what we’ve been doing isn’t working. So let’s get to the root of it — together.
New episodes bring fresh perspectives on consciousness, self-awareness, personal growth, suicide prevention, neurodivergence, mindfulness, holistic wellness, and the radical power of human connection. Dear Heather is more than a podcast. It’s a movement — starting with Dear Neighbor and expanding into every corner where people are suffering in silence.
Subscribe now and join a community of super feelers, seekers, and change-makers who believe the world can be different. Because it can. And it starts with a conversation.
Let’s change the world one discussion at a time.

Okay, guys, welcome back to Dear Heather. Today we're bringing all the fun and joy to the world with my bestie of 18 years, Stephanie. And today we have a recurring series that we're bringing to the world called Dear Heather Love Stephanie. And Stephanie, I brought you here today to play a fun game called Bestie or Baggot. Perfect, I love it. But as you just clearly stated, not the bagot. Not the French bread. I was excited. I was like, where's the butter? You know, guys, I wanted to do this segment because Stephanie and I have always talked about doing a project together. And obviously with Dear Heather, it's about changing the world, but you can't change the world with a little bit of without a little bit of fun. So that's what we're doing here today. We just want to laugh with you, bring all the joy, and bring you into our little house of fun so you can see what goes on behind the scenes, because this is actually how we are all the time. And now the time to explain the game. Bestier Baggett. We're going to ask each other questions about ourselves to see if our friend, our best friend, knows the answer. This is terrifying, mind you, because you don't know anything. I was not phone a friend.
SPEAKER_00Like I swear, I'm we were real friends.
SPEAKER_01So if I don't get them wrong, if I get them wrong, don't it's totally, I'm all there. I'm all there. Now, what's in these bags, we have to wear what's in the bag throughout the whole episode. Unless we find something, say like it's a pair of glasses, and we pick another bag that has another set of eyewear. We can either choose to keep the eyewear that we have on or change it out. Shall we just get this started? Yes. Who goes first? I'll ask you first. Oh my gosh. Of course. This is so good. How old was I when I had my first kiss? Oh my gosh. I talk about like late bloomer stuff all the time to give you a hint.
SPEAKER_0017?
SPEAKER_01Ooh, that's a close guess. I think I was 16. Oh, I was gonna guess 16. God blam it. You know what's funny?
SPEAKER_00That was gonna be one of my questions.
SPEAKER_01You know, I was thinking about it last night. I'm like, was I 16? I was thinking about all like the relationships, like the maybe one that I had up until I had my first kiss. But I know that it had to be 16 because I was terrified of kissing before. Oh. I was 15 and I thought I was like old. Oh my gosh, yes, because in middle school, people were like doing things, and I'm like over here just terrified of a kiss. I'm still scared of a kiss. I don't know if I want to give that one to you because I definitely was probably 16. That was a good guess, so I'm gonna have you pick a bag. Fudge. Bestie.
SPEAKER_00Okay, I'm doing the swan.
SPEAKER_01I don't what do I have to wear? Pink, of course. Oh my gosh. You're putting them on backwards. Oh dear. You can do this. It's fine. It's all fine.
unknownOh my god.
SPEAKER_01It kind of matches your outfit, I'm not gonna lie. No, I'm getting rid of this.
SPEAKER_00It's hard to put on with rings, you know. Glad I wore those rings to be covered up immediately. Okay. I can't even hold the things.
SPEAKER_01Actually, we'll put this over here.
SPEAKER_00Okay, let me pick one. Okay. Who was my favorite boy band? And sync.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Shut up, I got it right. JTT was my husband. That's what I was thinking, Justin. Oh my gosh. Okay. Hmm. That's rude. Okay, what city was I born in? I know, I stole it.
SPEAKER_00I know. And I can't I was thinking about this last night when I wrote mine, but I can't think of it. It was like Northern Arizona, right? No. I don't know, is it?
SPEAKER_01Fudge. Uh I don't. You're just gonna have to throw one out there. Prescott. No, Long Beach, California. How did you be born there? Because I lived there for like two years. Well, that's kind of rude. Yes, I was mainly in Prescott.
unknownJust grab a bag.
SPEAKER_00I don't. Just grab a bag. No. No.
SPEAKER_01What is this? Actually, this is a whole look. Okay, this is a whole look. I have to like that's a thing. This is a thing. Can you see out of those? I can see you. Elton John style. Okay, let's go. Who was my first childhood celebrity crush? Oh damn. Is it can we get hints here? Like we're not at this point. I'm doubled up. Like, no. Okay. John Bovey. Wait, what is it? Um, why can't I think of his name?
SPEAKER_00Just make something up, girl. You got three.
SPEAKER_01Brad Pitt.
SPEAKER_00No. Jonathan Taylor Thomas.
SPEAKER_01Oh, dang! I forgot that that guy even existed. Like he went to college and everything after his acting career. You know what? I wrote him a letter when I was like 10 because I found out he likes Caesar Salad and I like Caesar Salad. So I thought it was meant to be.
SPEAKER_00So I wrote him a letter and I thought that would, you know, we would it would be good, but I'm still single, so acknowledging the Caesar salad part.
SPEAKER_01Okay, get grab a bag. All right, let's go with this one. What is it? Okay, there was one bag in here, you guys, that had two items. Oh my gosh, is that it?
SPEAKER_02I'm so sorry to be doing this to you. I can't do it. No, I get screwed.
SPEAKER_00Now I have three things. I'm gonna have to take the jacket off. I'm gonna get warm.
unknownYou gotta put them on.
SPEAKER_01How do we get them? You can probably move the. Can we move the mic? I'm good. Okay. Okay, apparently I have to put these over my. All right. This is what we get for not knowing the answers.
SPEAKER_00You know what? I didn't deserve that one. Well.
SPEAKER_01Oh my land. So did he ever write you back? And were you disappointed in that? This isn't even for the right hand. That's what I did. Oh jeez, this is gonna be great. Okay, this is just gonna have to be like what it is. I feel like this is unfair. Well, this is the game. I don't like this game. Oh wait, it's my turn. Um oh this is gonna be how many years did I go to U of A? Four. No, girl. I went half a semester. Or maybe even half a year. I went there. You were just so smart. I just figured, you know. Hey, no, I was 17, turning 18, and I was a wild child. You are of the UR. This is great. And I just couldn't take it there anymore. I had to move. So I moved to LA, and then later I obviously finished my degree and then went on to get my MBA later in life. I know I knew that you had a degree, that's why I figured, yeah, that's a trick question. Well, that's really unfair of you. Um so is life. Like that's great.
SPEAKER_00Which one?
SPEAKER_01Oh geez.
SPEAKER_00Just gets better and better. No, I am not wearing this.
SPEAKER_02You have to.
SPEAKER_00I hate it here.
SPEAKER_01You know what? Um I should be a better listener, apparently.
SPEAKER_02I'm like crying. Oh my gosh, oh my gosh. I've been crying too.
SPEAKER_00You can't see over these giant glasses. Okay.
unknownOh my god, I can't.
SPEAKER_01Oh jeez. Okay. I'm getting an ab workout today. I'm like literally crying. Good thing I have my like dish gloves.
SPEAKER_00Okay. How many suitors have I lived with? I don't even know what a suitor is. It just sounded like good, you know.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, when I read that I was like suitors, it brings a whole new like audience to like both. I need a subject. Oh, yeah, it's getting hot in here. Okay, I'm gonna choose two. Ish at three. Take a bag! So who was it?
SPEAKER_00So I lived with obviously my fiance, my ex-fiance, and then I lived with somebody um in Northern California. I mean northern Scots. Oh my gosh, you got my chain. Okay, I can't even put this on like this like a glove. I got uh okay, okay. Well, technically, so oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01This is like you wear this out. Do you really wear this? To the games, heck. Yeah, you were like the biggest Cardinals fan I think I've ever met in my life. I love football, so yeah, it's just so weird because you're like all sparkles and sunshine, and like then you just love your football. Like, um tell me something about that.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh. I grew up in sports. Well, my mom works with athletes, so I just grew up. My mom's actually the one that taught me about sports, not my dad.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so does your mom like football more than your dad? Oh heck yeah.
SPEAKER_00She's serious that season tickets to Cardinals, so it's for me and her to do.
SPEAKER_01Your dad doesn't even go.
SPEAKER_00He's like, I want to go home, I'll watch it while I shoot pool at their pool table.
SPEAKER_01I think this is a very healthy marriage, that's why they've lasted forever. Yeah, so yeah.
SPEAKER_00Goals I had to have that chain, and now you have to have the chain. Clearly.
SPEAKER_01This is where you got the sparkles. This is like full of glitter. Oh my gosh, I found sparkles all over my bed last night. I didn't know where it came from. It's from this thing. What were you doing with this thing last time you were wearing it?
SPEAKER_00I you know, honestly, I don't remember the last time I wore it, but I love it.
SPEAKER_01Clearly, you went and had some fun. The Cardinals must have won.
SPEAKER_00So there was obviously a celebration, which it takes a lot for them to win. So um, anyway.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I'll give you I'll give you an easy one. Please. What's my hometown? You've Prescott. Bingo, okay. Okay, yay. Give you a break on that one. Lord have mercy if I had to add more to the situation. Grew up in a very small town. I grew up in Prescott though, when it was like you call it Prescott, I thought. No, I've got to be able to do it. I do it for everybody's oh, so now I started calling it Prescott because when I said Prescott, everyone was like, Isn't it Prescott? And now I say Prescott, or no, now I say Prescott, and everyone's like, exactly what you just did.
SPEAKER_00Because everybody from Prescott corrects people.
SPEAKER_01So okay.
SPEAKER_00Anyway, what doesn't matter, but I already know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was really small. It was like such a now it's like overgrown and just overpopulated. Wouldn't want to go back. It's a cute town. I love like the downtown. I love the square. The square, I hope, never changes. Like okay, I feel like I just really need to screw you over, but I don't know how because these are pretty easy. Um, what city was I born in? Glendale. I mean, no, Gilbert, Gilbert.
SPEAKER_00Mesa.
SPEAKER_01Shut up. Uh, Banner Desert. Or, well, it was it was called good, good, I don't know, it was called something else when I was born there. Wait, so did your parents like always live in Arizona?
SPEAKER_00Well, they live my mom's from California. My dad um grew up actually in Cottonwood.
SPEAKER_01But um they yeah, they came out here and uh they had at a church out here, and yeah, so Was Robbie born in Mesa too? My brother was born in Whittier, California. What?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I we moved to California before I was one, so and then we moved back. That was when I was eight.
SPEAKER_01Short, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Where's Whittier? I don't even know if it's a little bit more.
SPEAKER_00It's LA-ish.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I love L. I think. I miss LA. Shoot, okay. Pick a bag. It better be something. You're lucking out right now. Look at me.
SPEAKER_02I can't even grab this thing.
SPEAKER_01Okay, good. Okay, good. We need something like this up in here. I don't know how to tie this thing on. Oh my gosh. Oh, jeez. Okay, I'm gonna have to take off my kitchen wear here for a second. Just kidding. At least it's cute. I like your glasses, so what about this thing? Where is it? Oh, I can't I can't tell you that that looks great. It doesn't. Is my hair poofy? Perfect. Yes. Perfect. It's all the poof debt. Okay, how do you spell my son's name? This one's really hard because no one's. R E I G N. Oh, girl. I'm gonna give you one more chance. Look, you're R-E-I R-E is R-E-I. No. What the heck? I know. I feel like I've spelled it eight million times. And you have gotten it right every single time, so I'm always impressed. Spelling the champion is failing. Um pick up bag, number one. No, R you're not giving up. I E. No, what? You're not even close. R A I. No, still no. How have I spelled it right every time? And I know I know this. I know you know this. That's what I thought I was giving you an easy one. Actually, I didn't. I thought that you would fail this one. But even my even my brother spells it wrong. No, but I usually spell it right. Yes, every single time. So I spell it R-H-E-Y-N. Yes! God, this is really hard to tie with nails. You can't do shit with nails. You can't do anything with any of this, by the way. So go for it. Grab it. I didn't know we would be like to hold it on for some shit. Pool ball. Okay. It works. Oh, it's in here. Terrified. No. No.
SPEAKER_00You could absolutely keep those, but I kind of want to see the aliens. I'll try these on and I'm going back to my sparkly.
unknownOh my god, with an alien. With the alien bag.
SPEAKER_01You can't make this up. Like, we're not like we do not know what's in these bags, you guys. Like, there's just no way. We don't the fact that you got both of those. Oh my god, this is my best day ever. Like, best day ever. Yeah for you. I know. Should I keep them or go back to Blingy? I kind of think you're on theme with this look right now.
SPEAKER_00You know what?
SPEAKER_01This is not the first impression I was planning on giving. Well, to me, you're out of this world.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Fudge.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00I'm almost out.
SPEAKER_01Okay. And I feel like you're gonna know some of these. I probably no girl, I don't know a lot of those. Don't put that much faith in me. Like, are you gonna be disappointed if I don't know? Okay. Okay. No. I just okay. Where's my favorite sub shop? I really don't know this one.
unknownWell.
SPEAKER_01Porta subs? That's my second, that was my first favorite. So that's good, but no. Jimmy John's. Nope. But you have to pick a bag anyway. Jersey mics. Shut up. I okay. I hope I have new eyewear because this thing is not working. I hope I have new headwear because this. Okay, what do we got here? Oh no, it's going up. I think I'm gonna go.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I'm taking this off.
SPEAKER_01Sorry, I give up on that one. It was a good look, I will tell you. Um, you still have to wear the eyewear.
SPEAKER_02She got a headlamp.
SPEAKER_01It cannot be for real. Okay.
SPEAKER_00It's really hard on the getting, I think, a minion or something. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Like, I'm I'm like adventurous, you know? Like I can do all the things. I can clean, I can go into a cage. Go into mine, like the I can be freaky. Okay. You can I wish I brought bobby pins just to put this on. Is it still showing through the mask? Well, you gotta light it up. It can be a battery scroll. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Okay. We got this. Okay. I don't want to. How many tattoos do I have? Oh. Oh yeah. Oh god. Um, I've been way busier than that. I'll give you one more guess. 38. Went for the moon. I haven't been that busy. What do you think of me?
SPEAKER_00That's my number.
SPEAKER_0113 girl. 13. So pick a bag. Pick that bag. No, I don't want to waste time. Okay, I gotta reach.
SPEAKER_00Okay, I don't know what this is, but I just don't want to.
SPEAKER_01I'm really getting fancy here. I feel like I thought I I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I can't see.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00Okay, I get out of these hot mittens. I get to put these laced things on.
SPEAKER_01I hope I pick okay. I want you to like find different eyewear because this is not working. You can take it off. You've gone through a couple of questions. You're fine. But if I took my little like thing off, so you're good. Okay, but like what? Why do you like why do we have these? I just thought they were cute. Like I like it, I'm a good, I love a good excess. Okay, girl. Like I love excesses. Yes.
SPEAKER_00Spock.
SPEAKER_01Oh difficult.
SPEAKER_02Okay, this actually looks good.
SPEAKER_01This actually could be a look too, like with the alien glasses. Like it's giving me, like. Well, I still have my sparklies. I might go back to because this is getting extra.
SPEAKER_00As if it wasn't.
SPEAKER_01We should have done it where, like, if you get glasses, you can either keep the ones or you pass them.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you have to make you wear them.
SPEAKER_01Are we doing that rule now? I just made it up. Okay. I'm going back to my sparkles, my elephant. What you've been looking like this whole time. Yeah, thank you. Like. Oh, I kind of like them. Like they're I like how dark they are. Yeah. I do like the darkness. But they kind of like are tripping me out because it makes me feel like cross-eyed, because you get a little bit of light up in there.
SPEAKER_00That's yeah. If you had batteries in that thing, you'd have a lot of light.
SPEAKER_01Beating me to space. Talking to my alien friends. Come get me. Okay. Um where did I get engaged when I was engaged? Ooh, Santa Monica. Nope. I have no idea. Destiny Lem. Shut up! I should have guessed that. Oh my gosh, I knew that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, he like, um, it was really sweet. Because the Giants had just won the World Series, and we were in Northern California because we were moving there.
SPEAKER_01And he um we were gonna go to like the World Series like parade or whatever with all the Giants players, and he opted out to take me to Disneyland.
SPEAKER_00And I didn't know why.
SPEAKER_01He didn't have any clue. Did you have any clue?
SPEAKER_00No, well, we were gonna move to Northern California, and I basically said, like, marry me or leave me, you know.
SPEAKER_01Like a good ultimatum. I mean, yeah, but maybe. Now's the time. I thought that he would be giving you the ultimatum how in love with you he was. So that's kind of funny. The battle happened.
SPEAKER_00I didn't know that. Yeah, and then he um, yeah, he took me to Disneyland. I had no idea. My nails were all chipped, it wasn't that cute.
SPEAKER_01Does it wouldn't he know, like to let you know to get your nails done? Yeah, no.
SPEAKER_00I yeah, I was like shocked. And he actually like did it pretty cute. Like he like planned, um, he wanted to do it in the like the I kind of like the glimpses with the glasses, like actual look, yeah. But yeah, I kind of want to ride, but then we ended up like it happened, but he didn't get on a knee.
SPEAKER_01What? No, did people around you know that you guys were not really? He got embarrassed if we ordered a pizza on a Tuesday and he don't want the neighbors to see because it's Tuesday, like you don't eat pizza, crying, he was lying. No, tell me about that. No, girl, he pizza gay, but different kind, yeah. Like, you know, heaven forbid our neighbors that we were friends with because they ate really healthy.
SPEAKER_00He's like, I cannot let them see me eating pizza.
SPEAKER_01What a miserable life, though. You should never ever care what anybody thinks of you, you guys. Like, that's so stupid. And the the husbands were jealous, you know, because the the wives were the ones making all their husbands eat clean during the week, and they were like, You get to eat pizza on Tuesday, but he was embarrassed. I'm like, he should have been like, but anyway, he was so proud.
SPEAKER_00So that's but it was like sweet, it was thoughtful, I will say, because I love Disneyland, but um were you shocked?
SPEAKER_01Like, were you happy, shocked, or I was so shocked.
SPEAKER_00I think I was actually not happy.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, this sounds awful.
SPEAKER_00No, he's like stalking you, whatever. No, it's like I just think that like I don't know when it actually happened. I had to go like sit on a bench for a while before I could even like call anybody.
SPEAKER_01That is every man's worst nightmare. Thank you. Yes, you say yes, and then you're like, I gotta go sit by myself.
SPEAKER_00And then I had to get on the jungle cruise. I couldn't ride anything crazy because at this point my emotions were just like, oh, I'm like, let's get on the jungle cruise.
SPEAKER_01I've been like, let's go on the Pirates of Caribbean. That was my favorite, favorite, favorite ride. The smell that you get.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but girl, when you're not, you are shocked, you're just kind of like, and then I said, Okay, let's go outside the park, let's go to ESP and Zone and have drinks.
SPEAKER_01And then I started telling people, but it was like, I think I was just so like Can I tell you a funny story about Disneyland that just came to mind that out of nowhere? So when we would go to Disneyland when we were really young, we almost got kicked out because my youngest brother, Chris, was panhandling people, going around saying, I don't know where my dad is, can I have money? By the end of the day, he had so much money, but he got caught by security. And he was like, he was like an eight. Yeah, like who's not telling security? Like, there's a kid like asking for money everything. I know. Well, he got caught doing everything. Like he this guy couldn't like cross the crosswalk without getting like in trouble.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, one of my things one of my friends um got kicked out of Disneyland because he was really drunk and he got on pirates. He jumped off the ship and went in and got all the coins and started throwing them about. Oh my god, okay, that one tops the cake.
unknownThat one tops the cake.
SPEAKER_01Like, who does that? Like, how drunk do you have to be to like think that that's a good idea? Isn't that dangerous? Like you're risking your life for the stuck on that ride underground for a long time, the boats kept hitting us, whatever. The water's like this. Oh my gosh. I wouldn't mind being stuck on that ride unless it's like half like going down because it smells so good. I just feel like I do like this. I feel like maybe I was born in the pirate era at one point in my like all of my lives, because for some reason, maybe it was like the barrels of beer or whiskey. No, it was whiskey at that point.
SPEAKER_00I think the problem for me was when we were stuck down there, there was no sound, but everything kept moving. So, like all the characters were moving, and there was like sound. Oh my god, that would traumatize me for a little bit. See that guy like chase or the woman chasing the guy around in that circle or whatever? That's right where I was stuck.
SPEAKER_01Actually, oh, it reminds me, oh, we gotta go back.
SPEAKER_00We're going. We are decided.
SPEAKER_01Oh, is it my turn? Do I ask you?
SPEAKER_00I want to say I'm asking you again, but I'm gonna.
SPEAKER_01What are my cats' names? I know Hollywood. I know. I was wondering if you know the second one. I don't know the second one. Oh, dang, this is so good. No, it's like Flea. Remember you asked me about the chili peppers. The bass from the chili peppers. That's not why she was named that. She just jumped out of bushes like boing, boing, boy. So my mom actually named her flea. Sing it, I forgot about it. Yeah. Pick a bag, Mother Effer. Going for this giant one. What do you think's in here? Something good, I hope. I mean, you're batten a hundred at this point. I'm like sweating.
SPEAKER_00What's this big old bag for this? What's with the green glass? Oh my gosh. This paper's stuck to me.
SPEAKER_01Oh, this is like the best birthday party ever. I know.
SPEAKER_00Alright, I gotta wear them for at least one more question. Right.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Like you can turn them on, you know, if you want. Turn them on? Yeah, you gotta take out that little clip and then just turn them on. I just want to see what they look like. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. See, that's that's I feel like now we're from the same galaxy at least. Yeah. Like I can. We got something going on. It's very nice. It reminds me of like so I bought those for Rain's 16th birthday and have like a million of them. Oh my gosh. Okay, girl. Here we are. Hit me with your best shot. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Okay, fine. No. Who was my dog before Timmy? Was it Brandy?
SPEAKER_01Yeah! Shut up. It was only because you mentioned Brandy when you were talking about Timmy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, that was a dumb part for me. Like I shouldn't have said that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it just that okay. Wow. Brandy, my long-haired chihuahua.
SPEAKER_00Timmy's 15 now. He's no teeth.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00No, his clout his eyes are looking a little cloudy.
SPEAKER_01He's passionate. Timmy's a very beautiful dog. Timmy's one of those dogs that his name fits him.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01Yes, he is the perfect Timmy. Five pounds. Absolutely. Okay. What age was I when I got engaged? Did you even know I was engaged?
SPEAKER_00I do vaguely remember you telling me you were engaged, but now the whole minute. Now I have to like fully.
SPEAKER_01I think I gotta engage and then he kicked me out of the car shortly after that. It's a very troubling time in my life.
SPEAKER_00I made it through the jungle cruise, so um now I have to just throw out a number. Yeah.
SPEAKER_0127. You're off by 10 years. I was engaged at 17. No. Yes, I was dating this guy. You didn't even have your kids. He was the older guy. I know. Well, shortly after I had my first kiss, I was a wild child, apparently. Like sparked something in me, and then I got engaged. I mean, he was older, like how yeah, like a couple years older, but he played baseball. And so I moved to Fort Myers to be with him because he played out there. Right before I went to U of A. And yeah, because we were on and off again forever. But then we got engaged, and it was just it was awful.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. I have a baseball player boyfriend, also. But I was like 20.
SPEAKER_01No, they're the worst. Don't don't do it.
SPEAKER_00I mean, maybe if that's your thing, I there's a thing for everybody, but I swear I just met so many baseball players just because of my mom's job. Plus, like, once you know one, you know them all, kind of, because they're like brothers and like well, and it's a very like it's culture, like how they all operate.
SPEAKER_01It's like birds of a feather, right? And so even if you're not that kind of person, you kind of adopt it through just seeing it every single day.
SPEAKER_00So then like weird things would happen, and like my mom's like, you always find baseball players. We were sitting out back with my parents one time. The waitress brings me a note. She's like, This guy wanted me to send you a note, and he was like sitting at the bar and with my family, and it was like his name and number, and he's like waving at me. Was he cute? He was super cute, and turns out he played for the Brewers. Like, my mom's like, you cannot get away from baseball players.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, I have no idea. No, actually, I just got done saying don't date a baseball. No, I just couldn't. No, there are there are certain men that I like that have jobs that I could not do. I will date somebody that is in and out of the country, in and out of the state, but on different like accounts, you can't just be like because their lifestyle is so different, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I mean, but I think like it was normal because like my uncle played for the White Sox, like I was used to we housed people like when the AAA team for the Giants were in Scottsdoll, like we used to house those players, so like they'd get called up and down, I'd see the what the wives went through. So I was just like kind of used to it. Oh wow. So it really wasn't weird, but also it was kind of weird because my mom's like, I don't know what it is with the baseball players. Like, I dated one football player, but everyone else was like baseball.
SPEAKER_01I don't think I've ever dated a football player. Dumb. I don't want to date anybody in sports unless you're like um like I don't know, let's see. It's hard playing like what's like the weirdest sport, like curling. I want to be a curler. Like, girl, I this is something I've been dreaming of because I what is that? No, lately you've been telling me, you've said so far, literally a couple weeks ago, you were very honest about this, and you're like, Heather, I really think I want to become an ice skater. Oh yeah. Okay, you're obsessed about becoming an ice skater like two weeks ago. And then yesterday you were saying, I'm really thinking I want to pick up golf. And so I'm just kind of curious where all this kind of- I'm a dreamer, okay? Curling because I feel like wait, what is curling exactly?
SPEAKER_00Oh, like you're on ice, it's like shuffle bars, and they have the brooms and they go like this. I want to do that, and I just basically want to get the Olympic rings on my chest. So, like, I thought that would be like the easiest way to go.
SPEAKER_01Is there like a curling area here that we can do? You know what?
SPEAKER_00Old town shots still they have a bar with curling. So we should go there and we should give it a whirl and see if I might potentially make the Olympic table.
SPEAKER_01Let's see, you know, we can see where that goes. Yeah, it's right in Old Town. Gotta pick a bag. Oh crap.
SPEAKER_00Go on this one.
SPEAKER_01Okay, god. Just smark love. I do. I can't I'm like getting like a whole like sauna on my hands. So I'm like sweating. Oh, wait, have we opened all the bags on the ground too? No. Oh. This is ridiculous. Well, I didn't realize how hot this game would be. But I, you know. Is there a sport that you would potentially want to play at this age? Do I that I'm like currently really into boxing? So no, but like that's a great question.
SPEAKER_00Some random, like uh, no.
SPEAKER_01That's really never been a thing for me. Maybe you can be on my curling team. I am for it. No, does one person like have the job at this? That's gonna be you. Yeah, what is that called? I'll do it. No, I don't want to do that. That just is like too weird. Like, it's all weird. And then I go to sleep, like just dreaming of that. Like, it just kind of ruined my game. That's bizarre. Okay. Where did I live in Southern California? Uh Pacific Beach? I mean, no, Laguna Beach? Nope. Huntington Beach. Oh my god, come on. That should have been an easy one for me. I know. I thought that would be. That's why I kept it. I'm like, okay. What is it? Extra hardware. Actually, this matches my outfit, so an alien preparing for a blizzard blizzard. An avalanche.
SPEAKER_00Alien avalanche. I was scared. Okay, how how many more do you have? Because I only have one left. And I know you're gonna. Really? What?
SPEAKER_01How is that possible? Do I have some of yours? I think I'm just dropping things. Yes, scroll. Okay. Wait, is it my turn or your turn? No, it's my turn, right? You might know this one, actually. You might know this one. What celebrity did I meet and spend time with when I was on my Axe Angels tour? You know this one because it's a funny story that we always laugh about that I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_00But if I say the wrong person, then a we don't, we don't know. The wallflowers guy.
SPEAKER_01Yes. What's his name? Um, he was son of I'm only asking you at this point. Oh, Bob Dylan's son. Yeah, Bob Dylan's son. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yes. Yay.
SPEAKER_00Okay. I will. Okay, my favorite band, but you're allowed four guesses. And not including my favorite band.
SPEAKER_01Oh god. Like right now? Just in general.
SPEAKER_00But I'm allowing four because I have a top like five, but one.
SPEAKER_01I don't even know bands, really. I'm like that girl, like that just doesn't pay attention to anything. Like, I don't have a favorite color, I don't have a favorite band, I don't have a favorite song, I don't have a favorite.
SPEAKER_00I'm giving you some leeway.
SPEAKER_01Okay, uh, the Black Boots.
SPEAKER_00You're not allowed to say my ex-boyfriend's band. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01Wait, we just didn't know who he is. No, it's fine. It's fine. Um, let's see. Uh boy. Band. Not boy band. Is it country? I'm not answering any questions. Why can't I even think? And you're making me choose four? I can't even choose. No, I said just one out of four. Oh, one out of four. Oh, okay. Um. Oh, oh shoot. Oh shoot. Uh I know.
SPEAKER_00I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Wow, this is really hard. I'm like, under the gun here. Guess it's just random. Uh band names. You know the wallflowers, apparently? I'm like, the wallflowers? Um I do like. Okay. I'm trying to think about who you always want to listen to.
SPEAKER_00That's why I don't like it.
SPEAKER_01I'm just gonna guess like Mumford and Sons. I mean I like Mumford. I don't even think you listen to them very much, do you? Red Hot Chili Peppers?
SPEAKER_00Okay, but you already said Mumford and Sons.
SPEAKER_01But red hot chili peppers, dashboard, confessional. Oh, dashboard. I was even thinking about Jimmy Eat World. Oh my god, Jimmy Eat World. That is like, oh, you're bringing me like a blast from the past. Like Jim Blossoms. Okay. Bon Jovi. That's what I was gonna say earlier when I was like blinding. I thought you were trying to say Bon Jovi, but it was like I couldn't even think. It would be wrong, so it was fine. Okay. All right, pick one. Make it good. I don't even think that they're gonna be able to see this, but that's okay. Do a little fanny pack action. I'm getting the good ones, girl. You're getting robbed. I am screwed. Just an alien preparing for my snow trip.
SPEAKER_00I feel like these boxes are actual like a medical, like I gotta change, I might have a seizure. I gotta put on my Elton John. I'm getting a little dizzy over here. We try wearing these things. They need a warning.
SPEAKER_01They do. Actually, they should. Actually, that's a really good point. Oh, you can actually turn them on and like change the setting, but that's fine. I'm just not gonna. Those are in the past. Oh, I feel back in my bling. I feel like. Oh, wait, am I asking anyone now? How many countries have I been to? Oh shoot. Am I a girl well traveled or a girl not traveled enough? I'm gonna say two. Ooh, that's a good guess. Wait, actually, that's the right guess. I was thinking three, but I was like counting the United States. Well, actually, truthfully, we didn't disclose.
SPEAKER_00I'm right.
SPEAKER_01Fine, okay, fine. Yay! Okay, you you go.
SPEAKER_00Oh, shoot.
SPEAKER_01The last one you're definitely gonna know. Who's my favorite singer? Taylor Swift. You are a Swifty through and through. At first, I was gonna say Christina Aguilera, like my first gut, and I was like, oh my god, no. Any person on this planet would know that you're a Swifty to the death. But can I explain it after Well, let me just tell everybody that if you invite her over to your house, be prepared. You will be playing Taylor Swift the whole time. I don't mind that. I've actually learned a lot. I've actually game to really yeah, appreciate her very much through you.
SPEAKER_00Well, I have to explain because there's so many bandwagon Swifties, but like back in the day, I was driving in Carefree one night, which is a whole nother story. It was like late at night, and um I was listening to the country radio. I was in the I was doing um pop dance music, and I really wanted to do country. I play guitar, I wanted to do country, like country pop, and um all of a sudden, out of nowhere, like in the middle of the night, they're like, We have a new artist, a new song. Uh the song's called Tim McGraw. Her name's Taylor Swift. I went home, looked her up on MySpace because I loved it. I saw that she was coming to Anthem, Arizona for the tree lighting ceremony for like it was a free thing. There was like 200 people.
SPEAKER_01So this is before she was even known.
SPEAKER_00That's what I'm saying. Like, she has like, I've been through all the errors with her.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so I'm not some kind of like, but her lyrics are like poetry. So thoughts. Oh, and I love that you take me through the lyrics, and I'm like, okay, I can see this. I can see this. Okay, I know we're counting down the time. So how old was I when I bought my house? I know who you got it, bought it for. I know your realtor, Oliver. Oh my gosh, yeah. Oh, good old processes now.
SPEAKER_00So you okay. You were, I wanna say 25 or 26.
SPEAKER_01God, you are good. I think I was 27. I think I'm like like a year or so old. I think which one? 25 or 26? 25, 26. Actually, I don't even know. I can't remember. I was gonna, I was actually gonna give it to you either way, like if you said 25 or 26. Because it was like around that age, right? Yeah, yeah. Because right after rain was born. I mean, I had no money. I was living paycheck to paycheck. I don't even know how, because like the housing market crashed, and so I got my house incredibly cheap, but I don't even how I did it. Like, I was literally paycheck to paycheck. I wasn't, and I had just rain, my son was like one at the time, and it just was like a perfect storm.
SPEAKER_00I remember that. I remember when you bought it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, what a wild time.
SPEAKER_00I know. Oh my gosh, I feel like there's so much like we know each other, but also like things that were before some of it before we even knew each other. So it's kind of like, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I know. Fine. Okay, what's the second? What's your last card?
SPEAKER_00How is it? Unless I I don't know. I keep throwing cards because I'm irritated. Make sure that it's. See, I'm just throwing cards.
SPEAKER_01Why did I use the word suitor? Because that's just you, girl. I feel like when I take this off, I'm gonna have like an imprint on my forehead. That's great. That's what you deserve. I thought you had one left. No, I answered it. No. Is that the game? We're okay, you guys. We are done. I feel like I lost, given my tire. Um you guys, this has been dear Heather. Love Stephanie.
