Dear Heather
What if the key to changing the world starts with understanding ourselves?
Welcome to Dear Heather — the podcast where mental health meets consciousness, neuroscience meets spirituality, and raw human experience meets real solutions. Hosted by Heather, a mental health advocate, super feeler, and someone who has walked through the fire of depression, anxiety, and devastating loss, this show exists for one reason: to bring awareness to the things that are breaking us and start building what will actually heal us.
Each episode is a deep dive into the full spectrum of what it means to be human — from the neuroscience of rewiring your brain and the power of neuroplasticity to the mystery of angel numbers, synchronicity, and collective consciousness. From the epidemic of youth mental health and men’s mental health to the broken systems failing the people who need them most.
From quantum physics and Schumann resonance to the quiet, radical act of learning to love yourself.
This is not surface-level self-help. This is alchemy — transforming pain into purpose, suffering into awareness, and silence into conversation.
Here’s what you can expect: real interviews with mental health professionals, neuroscientists, healers, and everyday humans who have survived the darkest of days and found their way back to the light. Every episode carries an educational element — because understanding the root cause of our suffering is the first step to ending it. We confront what isn’t working — the healthcare systems, the stigma, the disconnection — and we start talking about what will.
Dear Heather was born from personal experience. Heather is one of five brothers’ sister who lost a brother to mental illness. She has navigated her own battles with depression and anxiety for most of her life. She knows what it feels like to carry the weight of the world because you can feel everything — and she turned that into a mission: if the suffering of others hurts you, then help dismantle what’s causing it.
Whether you are on a healing journey, seeking change, or simply curious about why the world feels the way it does right now, this podcast will meet you where you are. We explore the spiritual and the scientific — yoga, meditation, and frequency healing alongside trauma recovery, emotional regulation, and the psychology of empathy. We talk about the woo-woo and the clinical. The 5D and the everyday. The mystical and the deeply practical.
Because mental illness is an epidemic. And what we’ve been doing isn’t working. So let’s get to the root of it — together.
New episodes bring fresh perspectives on consciousness, self-awareness, personal growth, suicide prevention, neurodivergence, mindfulness, holistic wellness, and the radical power of human connection. Dear Heather is more than a podcast. It’s a movement — starting with Dear Neighbor and expanding into every corner where people are suffering in silence.
Subscribe now and join a community of super feelers, seekers, and change-makers who believe the world can be different. Because it can. And it starts with a conversation.
Let’s change the world one discussion at a time.

Welcome back to Dear Heather. This is a special episode with my bestie Stephanie. I've known her for over 18 years. And I have news to share. We have a new segment called Dear Heather Love Stephanie. Love Stephanie. And that the purpose of this is to bring all the fun and love and light into the world because right now it's a heavy time, you guys. And Stephanie and I, we just like to laugh. And if you've ever been around us, you will know that. So we have brought to you a very special series called The Slumber Party with Heather and Stephanie. So I guess it is what it is. And today we're gonna be discussing a very fun topic called ick or nah regarding the person you're dating. Or just like a first day or anything. Or first day, or yeah, it could be a man in general or woman if that's your thing. Well, I don't know if some of that would apply. Well, maybe some of it will. Well, for men, a woman would apply, you know. And we have cards in here that we're gonna draw from, and we're just gonna answer what we feel is ick or not. Do you want to be the first? Yeah, the first to go.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we're gonna decide. Let's go after it. Everybody has a different thing, like that really, you know, they don't like about, you know, it'll give them the ick.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think it's different. Especially these days, you really don't know. It's so vast in variety of like what's acceptable for you. Maybe it's a different kind of thing, kink-wise. I don't know. I don't judge. We're here for it.
SPEAKER_00One thing I was gonna add before I grabbed the card is that what I feel like for girls, once you get the ick, there's no going back.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh, that is so valid. That is so valid. And there really isn't. I don't know how you recover from that. No, and it could be any stupid thing. So here we go. Yeah, that just remind me of like a couple of stories. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Do you want to start with that?
SPEAKER_01No, actually, probably not. No, it's a pretty aggressive story. We're gonna start with never wants to get married. Oh, okay, that's a serious one. I'm sure it's serious, I guess. Uh for me, for me right now. Asked me a year ago and I wouldn't have cared. Now I think I need somebody more serious. So I'd have to say, yeah, even though I'm not like a marriage person, like I don't need marriage. I don't need that. Yeah. But if I'm dating a man for a long time and he's just not taking it seriously, I'm gonna wonder why. And so that would like eat at me. So yeah, I think that's an ick for me.
SPEAKER_00I think I'm kind of confused because that would have used to always be an ick for me. But like we're swapping. Are we swapping? I know because I do want to get married. I really do want to get married. I just think like I do, I think for me it's the commitment. Like, I want to see like it's like the commitment, but it's also like I don't know the safety part of it for me.
SPEAKER_01I mean, is it necessary like will it make me happy is like going to contribute to my happiness? No. Like, if I love a person, yeah, and if we talk through something and like I understand and I feel safe with how they deliver why they don't want to get married, that's another thing. Like I can buy into that. But if somebody's just like flat out, no, and I think there's compromise there. I think that there could be a safe compromise there.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I think that's what's confusing for me because like with um like my recent ex, like he always said you didn't want to get married, but then when we were together, he would say like he did want to get married, and he would ask me, Where do you want to get married? stuff I'm like, I'm not bringing this up. So it was very like confusing. So I but I was still willing to date him only because like I shouldn't say only, but it's because it's like I really cared about him, so it's kind of hard because when you're in that feel field, it's like it's hard, you kind of give up some of the things you actually really want. So deep down, yes, I would want to get married, but Icarina, I don't know. I feel confused about work.
SPEAKER_01Also, I feel like a lot of men say that they don't, and then if they do fall in love or they find I've seen so many flip-flops it go both ways. Like I've seen guys that have always wanted to be married, and they're like, after that relationship, I think I'm good. And so I think there has to be a discussion around like the background and the reasoning why. Yeah, and so just talk it out. I feel like you gotta understand both points of view.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I'm not hopefully it's not another question, but it's almost like same with children because I always wanted kids and I was like, I don't want to be with somebody that doesn't want kids. Well, now that I'm like getting older and I'm like, Yeah, I'm tired. I don't know, I don't know, girl. Like I'm already tired, I'm tired, like you know, so now it's like also like you know, biologically, it's like I just yeah, and now I'm like changing that.
SPEAKER_01So it's kind of like that's what's hard about because I usually date younger men. I mean, I date all over the map, but like there's that saying, like, where you can date the dad and the son. I literally was about to say that. Okay, because it's like, yeah, all the younger men are like, yeah, I would want, and I have a son, so and it's not impossible. A lot of people are having children in their 40s, it's actually becoming quite a norm. But do I want to start over? I think I'm good. I don't know. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I would be willing if it was possible, like and that everything was right, but I'm also okay at this point. I have to, I mean, I kind of have to be okay with not. Yeah, yeah. So very true. Cool. All right, let's go for the next one.
SPEAKER_01Give me a good one. We're not getting the funny ones. Man bun. Man bun? Yeah, man bun.
SPEAKER_00Do you not like a good man bun? I think it's okay. When they first started doing the man bun, I really wasn't into it. And now I kind of I'm okay with answering, guys. I think it can be cute. Yeah, I think it's a thing. Well, it could be an ick if it's like well. I'm not into like the suma wrestler man bun per se. But like, you know, the general human man bun. What if they like like put it up and then they braided it and then they're gonna I don't want hair scrambles. I just want them to just throw it back. You know, they're trying to protect the hair damage. Okay, it's it can okay. See, these are confusing because on some guys I'd be like, that is disgusting, and on other guys, I'm like, that's cute.
SPEAKER_01Well, not even necessarily cute, but I'm okay with it. Maybe I think it's a confidence thing too. I think if people are just doing it because it's like like to look cool, but it's not like really who you are to the core. Exactly. We don't want to be so judgy. Oh my god. We're not being judgy, it's just okay. Okay, are we gonna play or not? And be not judgy. Okay. Am I speaking a new language? I cannot. You just remind me of the like that rooster, whatever was this morning. Like the woods. No, I don't think that you are. Oh my god, let me back this one up. You know, our visitor this morning. Oh, the rooster. Was it a rooster or was it a chicken? I don't know. I don't know the difference, I don't think. It was very large and loud. Very loud. Tried to come in the car. Okay, let's get a good one.
SPEAKER_00Do me right. Guys taking selfies on social media.
SPEAKER_01It depends what kind of selfie. See, these are all gray areas. If you're like all the time, that's a gross. No, no, no, no. And if it's only selfies, no, no, no. But if you're like doing a selfie with like a beautiful like cityscape back there or like but let's not say that, because let's just say a guy that's so narcissistic. Like into self-like, you just nailed it, narcissistic, no. If you just want to see yourself, like if you're just like really because honestly, that doesn't make you look confident, that makes you look insecure. But like, do you feel that way about girls? Because I don't. No, I love a good selfie. I don't never stop taking selfies ever. I don't care if it gives anybody the ick. I'm gonna continue and I'll never stop.
SPEAKER_00And I will say, I feel like I don't know, I don't know how guys feel about girls doing selfies, but I feel like it's like normal. But also, half the reason I take selfies, this is so dumb.
unknownOh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Is if I really like the outfit. Girls, sometimes I don't know what to wear. I go to my Instagram and I'm like, what cute outfit do I own?
SPEAKER_01Like also, we're always alone. Like, I am always alone. So who am I going to show myself to with but myself? Unicorn. Oh, I was like, what?
SPEAKER_00This baby.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I couldn't be able to do it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't know. That's I don't I don't guys doing it, especially like weird gym selfies. I do not like, but I also understand because they work hard for I don't know.
SPEAKER_01It's weird. Well, talk me through that one, the gym one.
SPEAKER_00Are we like like this or are we like pointing at your like like what kind of gym selfies are we talking? I don't know. I just feel like if they're doing it just to like show their own like improvement, then why are you posting it? But also like why am I posting what I put? I don't know. It's just weird with that. That's a weird one.
SPEAKER_01That's a weird one. I don't know. It depends. I thought that one would be fairly easy to answer and just was not.
SPEAKER_00No, it was just not. So I guess some guys get away with it, some don't.
SPEAKER_01Okay, yeah. I was hoping this was coming up.
SPEAKER_00What is it?
SPEAKER_01Crocs. I can't get on the croc bandwagon. I can't do it, but I do have a story here, so I've always not liked Croc because I it's just there's just a fundamental weirdness there, and I can't quite put my finger on it. But I was dating this guy and he was so hip. Like he he was like, he just had a weird. I like weird people, like, and he had a weird, like just how he dressed and carried himself, but I liked it because it made sense, you know, like the street wear kind of. And we were dating once, and we were dating once, we were dating, and I was at his place, and we had to run to his car really quick, and I'm like, I don't want to put on my heels. And he's like, We'll just put these on. And I look over, and it was like, you know, like those movies where it's like and it's like zooming in on something. Yeah, it was his Crocs.
SPEAKER_00He wanted me to quit, he wanted me to slip on his Crux. I need to know did they have like the little like jewels, jewels and stuff?
SPEAKER_01Yes, and they're like tie-dye. Yes, and I was like, I think I'm just gonna put on my heels, but I didn't because I'm like, okay, I really like this man, he's cool, I'll put them on. But I was like, uh, okay, it was like the most slow-mo thing I've ever had to do in my life. And then I was like wiggling my toes in there, like, I it could not. I still was like, am I gonna fall in love with Crocs like after I wore them for like 2.5 seconds? Did not happen. Did not happen. And so yeah, that's my story about Crocs.
SPEAKER_00And I just feel like your feet are gonna sweat a lot in them, and so yeah, I think a lot of people like I work in medical, you know, a lot too. Like a lot of people like wear them in medical, but like I shall never. So yeah, that's a pass. That's an egg.
SPEAKER_01Okay, good luck to y'all that do it. Poor Crocs. Oh, well, they're the next guy I date is only gonna have a closet full of Crocs.
SPEAKER_00No, because you won't date them if they have a closet full of crocs. So it could be like a a thing. Let's see what we got going on here. Ooh, this is a good one. Has social media but does not acknowledge yours. Wait, do you mean does the question mean like okay, so does it tag you or does it like your stuff?
SPEAKER_01Meaning, like you talk to a guy for a couple months and he mentions nothing of his social media. So you're just thinking he doesn't have social media. Then you find out he has a living, operating social media. He knows that you have a social media, doesn't follow you, you don't follow him, and there's just no acknowledgement there. So it's like, I don't see it. I it's just to me, it can go one of two ways. Either you are hiding something and you just don't want it, but I also find it healthy when you're getting to know somebody not to introduce social media. I actually don't want to go down that rabbit hole. So at the time I was like, okay, actually this is good. I don't want to know that. But then over time, when you start time keeps adding, you kind of start getting sus. What like what would the reasons be? So what's your opinion?
SPEAKER_00Oh, good lord. Um, I think that it depends on the city.
SPEAKER_01Like if you met, see, like you met the like a really attractive guy today that you just were like, okay, and then you start talking to him, you're liking him.
SPEAKER_00No, I mean, this happened to me actually. I mean, this was years ago, but I met a guy who's from Santa Monica. He was in town in Scottsdale, and he was like, you know, so handsome. Like, you know, I was going to leave. He walked me in my car, which looking back, maybe I shouldn't have done that because he's a stranger. But um, you know, and he we started talking, we would talk on the phone like every night, and he's like, I want you to come out to Stan America, but he's like, I have no social media. Mind you, this was like MySpace days. MySpace days that is like don't age us. So okay, it was um not MySpace Days. I don't know how to okay, but uh it was funny because it wasn't funny, but I was you know a female, so I'm like kind of like I'm gonna figure out because I'm like, I don't know anybody that does not have social media. So come to find out, I looked him up and he had been married for three months. Three months, and he was trying to get me to come out and visit him in Santa Monica. And I'm like, see, that's why I go to his wife's page and she's proudly married, all these pictures, like it made me want to cry.
SPEAKER_01And I've been talking to this guy on the phone, like it's just like we've talked about this before, where women that get hit on by married or taken men can have develop an insecurity or like an extra like sixth cent or seventh cent, I don't know, about like um 18th cents. Um about where was I going with that?
SPEAKER_00The whole 18th and I went to a different number and I was like, I can't go there and then no, I think it was just like how like well for me, I think what you're gonna say is how like if you're like a decently attractive girl and you get you deal with so much, so many guys that will you know are in relationships or this or that, and it's like you make develop a conflict, yeah, it makes you not trust very easily.
SPEAKER_01And I think you have to be very diligent and you have to have a level of discernment when you're dating. You can't just believe what you hear. Words are I'm sorry, but even actions like that that's an action taking you to California or wanting you to go to California. Although I don't know if you would have ever really like.
SPEAKER_00I was scared of flying every time, so probably not. How old? I said I was scared of flying at the time. You were scared of flying? I used to be. What? I didn't have my first flight till I was 21. What? To New York.
SPEAKER_01Oh for amusement. The first flight you have, and you're terrified of flights. You know what I did, girl? It's like the worst flight ever.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I was so nervous. I wrote the pilot a letter. Oh my god, I got him a card. This is perfect for you. You you and your letters. I wrote him a card. Well, the pilots, and I said, and the funny thing, it was this graduation card, it said, um, the higher the climb, the better the view. And it was like inside a happy graduation, it just crossed that part off. And I was like, this is my first flight. Thank you so much. I took a Xanax, I'm excited for landing, and I gave it to the flight attendant. She's like scared because it was like right after um 9-11. So she's like, uh, and I'm like, it's it's okay. Like, so the next thing I know, the pilot creep says I'm okay. And I get on, the pilots get on, they're like, welcome aboard Stephanie for her first flight. I mean, granted, I was fluid like a baby, but like, yeah, and then they throughout the flight, they'd be like, Stephanie, we hope you're doing okay. Like, girl, that's the best story ever. But you know, you gotta, I just you should have walked off that plane like a celebrity. Like I was annexed out, so that's fine. But I like literally felt like, you know, the card was gonna get me to safety. I don't know. Just give them the extra oomph to get me there, you know. I love that you lead with love and you're not like you better get me there, or things are gonna go bad. I'm watching you.
unknownI know where you are.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we're in the same tin cam flying through the sky.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Just you, me, and all of them.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01Is it my turn? I think so. Oh, oh boy. Okay. Oh. Talks poorly about all of his exes. Ick. Ick. I don't even think we need to go much into that one. Just no. Don't do that. It just says a lot more about you not taking accountability because it's takes two to tango. And trust me, I've had some bad exes, but I've always found something that I could have done better, even if it was removing myself earlier.
SPEAKER_00You know, and I will say that not my recent ex, but my previous ex, he was going through divorce, and he never once said one thing he did wrong. And after we broke up, I dated a guy brief briefly, and he had been divorced. And he's like, you know, looking back, I would have done this, I would have done this.
SPEAKER_01And I'm like, That's so attractive.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm like, the like, I'm like, and growth is bumpy. Like take one, like he was like the perfect person. Nobody's perfect. I take accountability for anything in any of my relationships. Yeah, I know what I did wrong, you know.
SPEAKER_01I always say, like, I hope I'm the one wrong so I can fix it and make it better and come back to you better so we can work. But I'm sorry, if you're just not being accountable, uh no. No, you gotta go through the work, baby. You gotta go through the work. So I think we both agree.
SPEAKER_00Okay. What do we got now?
SPEAKER_02He uses LOL out loud in real conversation. It's kind of an egg, but it's also kind of hilarious.
SPEAKER_00And what happened at the gym today? LOL. I don't think okay, I don't think it's an egg. I think I could not deal with that on a daily basis. How about you?
SPEAKER_02We're bringing out the tissues.
SPEAKER_01Like he toots LOL. Oh, okay, we're going there. Um I just like I can't contextually figure out where you'd use LOL like out loud, like in a conversation. Now I'm gonna start that complex watch. I'm gonna start using it.
SPEAKER_00Girl, I've done it on accident a couple of times, but not on the regular, you know. I only have two and I just don't recall it. But would that give you the ick? Like, what if you're on a first date and he would you automatically be like that's like you say something funny and he's like lol. Okay, no. Okay, I think that's an ick. That's freaking weird.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Okay. Talks to his mom every day. It depends. See, there's a reason. Like, what if his mom's sick? Or I like a man close to his mom. I think it's a good thing. Unless, so there's one stipulation on that, unless it's unhealthy and you're like needing to be coddled and babied and you don't have your own. But if like you're just talking your mom to check in with her and say hi and share your day, I love that.
SPEAKER_00I don't think anything's wrong with that at all.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I just I love that.
SPEAKER_00In general, not a big it's a nah for me, I think, as long as it's not like the mother is intruding in a relationship or something.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so I think it's great. Okay, cool.
SPEAKER_00We like our mama boys. So that's a nah. It's all good. Well, no, okay, draw the line somewhere, but yes, boundaries.
SPEAKER_01Boundaries, boundaries, and the mom has to like have you ever dated a guy where the mom doesn't like you? Everybody loves me.
SPEAKER_00Duh. I don't know. I really don't know.
SPEAKER_01I mean outwardly nothing. Yeah, I once dated a guy and his mom. We were out at well, dinner, and she brought me aside and was like, you know, he will never, you should never want to be with him because he will never drive a nice car like you do. Like the time I drove a nice car. I mean, we like nice things, but uh I do this myself. I work very hard, so I deserve to have that. But and she just said, he will never provide that to you, so you should have to be like. What does that even mean? She uh she just didn't like me. She just did not like me. I've really took it to her.
SPEAKER_02Like, would you like to take a drive then?
SPEAKER_01No, it's funny.
SPEAKER_02We'll take an Uber.
SPEAKER_01Uber ball. I know, like I now I waymo everywhere because I just why not weird because those things are creepy. Oh, I love them.
SPEAKER_00They're all over the place.
SPEAKER_01And I'm in it. All right, just wave because I I'm in that bitch. Really, they're fun.
SPEAKER_00Well, yeah, until you're gonna be able to do that.
SPEAKER_01Until they're like stopping traffic, like I have seen that lately. And then I saw one like trying to turn into like it's a fluent road or fluid road, and it was literally trying to take a right into a brick wall. So girl, I've seen so many instances. Like it's not my Uber, like I don't own this, you know. Yeah, but you're gonna be embarrassed getting out of it with no driver. Yeah, no, that would be that'd be embarrassing. Okay, is it fine? Do I might pick?
SPEAKER_00I think so. Okay. Can't be alone.
SPEAKER_01That's an egg. Yeah, me too. I think it you need to be able to spend a lot of alone time. I'm like a loner at heart. Me too. I'd rather be alone. I'm an introverted extrovert. Like that's an ambivert. Did you know that? It's a combination of both.
SPEAKER_00Well, I heard it's like how you get your energy. I get my energy being alone, but I love being around people and stuff, but then I have to hide away to get my energy.
SPEAKER_01That means you have a social side, but that social side drains you, so you need to go home to recharge. Exactly. That's but I I would recharge that battery like overcharge. I like to overcharge myself.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, then I'm out for like three days straight, and then I'm back in hiding for two weeks, so it's good. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Is afraid of spiders. Like, is he screaming or what is happening?
SPEAKER_02He could be.
SPEAKER_01He could be like, oh no, no, like, no, like, we're not afraid of spiders.
SPEAKER_00So I guess that's fine because I could take it.
SPEAKER_01You're afraid?
SPEAKER_00No, I'm not.
SPEAKER_01Okay, neither am I. So that's the point of view. I'm like, eh, okay. Like it wouldn't bother me.
SPEAKER_00It wouldn't, it's not an ick. It's just as long as he's not jumping on a chair screaming, going like, you know, like it's fine. It's fine. Okay. It's fine.
SPEAKER_01No. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02Where is he diving also? Can of the water. Oh no, you don't need to do that, sir. You need to be cannibal.
SPEAKER_00You need to do a straight can of ball eggs around. Oh no, oh my gosh. How about you, Egg? I thought that might be a turn-on for you.
SPEAKER_01I love how manly that makes you like, oh gosh. No, egg. Okay. Wait, was that mine? I read it. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00I don't even know where we're at anymore. I don't even think it matters. It's so funny.
SPEAKER_01He says, rise and grind in the morning.
SPEAKER_02Wait, how many mornings?
SPEAKER_00All of them. No. I would just tell him a couple days a week. Come on.
SPEAKER_01Rise and grind.
SPEAKER_00I don't think I'm into that.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00How about you?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_00It's an ick. It's like an ick. Oh my god. It's so ick. I've never had a guy say that to me, and I hope I never do. I don't want anybody to say that to me. Anyway. Oh my gosh. Maybe my boss. That'd be fun, maybe. Can't put his phone down. Ooh, no, ick. Like what if you gotta be in the moment.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Then put it face down. And no, you can always put boundaries with your job. If you can't put boundaries with your job, then you can't have a relationship. Because you're not gonna put boundaries around anything.
SPEAKER_00That's true. I would say same. Same. Ick.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Um has a thing for feet.
SPEAKER_00What kind of thing? Like a thing.
SPEAKER_02Like, is he on feet finder? Like, does he pay for it? I hope so. So I can like create an account yesterday.
SPEAKER_00Crawl, I mean, if he's looking at other girls' feet and paying for them.
SPEAKER_01No, he's gotta be into your feet. Like, that's a thing. I do like foot rubs. I know that's the thing. So okay, I wouldn't mind a guy into feet if he was just about my feet. Because I want a man to be obsessed with everything about me. So that is like a gray area. Like as long as not other girls. Yeah, like you can't just like like be out in public like looking at everybody's toes. Like that would be a weird. Or on the internet. Or on the internet, like we got it. Keep it confined to my feet.
SPEAKER_00My feet. Also, is he gonna pay for my pedicures? Then yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yes, he would, definitely.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, then we're good for that.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I wouldn't know. I don't have experience or anything.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_02I don't even know how I cannot say it. He yells, Coblooy when he sneezes. First time who says that Cob Bluey.
SPEAKER_01And wears two tiny goggles.
SPEAKER_02Are we talking about Michael Phelps?
SPEAKER_00Where is possible? He's like, wait, who, what? My dad, like, ever since I was young, this is how he sneezes. Bang you! And I'm like, is that what people sneeze? I don't know. And I'm a really loud sneezer, so like it's really like I sound like a man when I sneeze.
SPEAKER_01And so like I always try to like sneeze. I like I developed this complex like a long time ago. Now I don't care. But back then, I'd always try to sneeze like really quiet. Like but then sometimes, yeah, sometimes it doesn't work out. It's like I don't know what's happening. Like that was way worse than what if I just went like flat out.
SPEAKER_00Like if I know it's coming, I can hold it back. But if I don't, it is allowed to sneeze. Like I remember to sneeze though.
SPEAKER_01It feels so good.
SPEAKER_00It's like letting out whatever's in there needs to come out. Like there's a reason. I don't know, but little bang chew. But I've never sneezed loud and said a word with it.
SPEAKER_01So I think have you ever like been around somebody that sneezes and it like like really hurts? You're like, oh, like, oh no. Oh, I think I have, because that reaction alone just says I have.
SPEAKER_00Okay, I don't know. I don't want to judge anybody, but like the most annoying sneezes are girls are like, do, do, do, choo, choo. I'm like, are you sneezing or what's happening? Like, do you know what I'm talking about? I'm trying to think. Apparently not.
SPEAKER_01This is me a couple years ago. Oh shoot.
SPEAKER_00That was just what I said when I was like, No, but you said you were holding one end.
SPEAKER_01But they actually like really, but see, I think that they're doing the same thing I was. Do they really sneeze like that? There's no way, because your body needs to get rid of things. There's no way your body, then your body is like on underdrive. Like you need to put that shit in like fourth gear.
SPEAKER_00Okay. I don't know. But I definitely would. It's an ick if a guy is yelling a word every single time and it's kabloo blee and bam or whatever it was. Kablooey. Kablooey.
SPEAKER_01Oh god. Why did I get this one? Because this is the one I wrote you late last night. I was like, this is going in. What? Poops with the door open.
SPEAKER_00I would say I've never actually experienced this. I don't think I have either.
SPEAKER_01But I mean, are they doing this at like you mean in front of people? Yeah, like they would probably just be pooping and talking to you at the same time.
SPEAKER_00I think I'd rather not deal with that. That's an egg.
SPEAKER_01I think if I really love somebody, I wouldn't care what you do. I'm gonna love everything about you. So but if I'm just dating you and you're just doing that, I'm gonna.
SPEAKER_00Oh, but I mean, like, yeah. Also, if I'm dating you and you're doing that and we're not together, then something's wrong with you, because that's freaking weird. Maybe he has a thing for it. And I don't.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna look this up after. Like, it could be a thing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but it's not a thing for me, and that's all that matters.
SPEAKER_01It's probably not a thing at all. This is where my brain goes.
SPEAKER_00I know. We don't know. Okay. But it's an ick. Like, unless, I don't know. When you're like in a serious relationship, you can get away with more, obviously. When you love somebody. If I don't love you, I don't love your poop either. I definitely don't like it.
SPEAKER_01Hates kids, ick. Yeah, ick. Okay, that was a simple one. Hates dogs. Yes, I know. There are some people out there though. To me, that's like an ick all around. Not even dating, just a you as a person. If you hate kids. Girls, guys, anybody, friends. I wouldn't be friends with somebody that hates a child. How do you hate a child? There's something wrong with that person. I really truly feel like that. Like you lack empathy, and so you're a psychopath. I think that's a yeah, that's like definition of psychopath.
SPEAKER_00I think so. Unless the kid's really annoying. I was kidding. Unless there are some kids. No, I was kidding.
SPEAKER_01Oh, eating with their mouth open.
SPEAKER_00How loud is it? And what are you eating? Are you telling me you love me while your mouth's open?
SPEAKER_01So I have a question about this. Like, do we mean because sometimes you could be like eating while talking? Like oh yeah, no, that's a no. That's an ick.
SPEAKER_00I don't like that. That's an ick. I'm weird with sounds, like noise, yeah, like chewing sounds and stuff.
SPEAKER_01But I wouldn't mind if you're like mid-conversation, because I do this a lot and I'm always like, are people judging me? Because I'm just in the moment. I very much live in the moment and I'm not gonna like be proper etiquette all the time to make somebody else feel comfortable and then lose out on that moment.
SPEAKER_00I just but if they're sitting there watching TV next to you eating material or a steak and you're just hearing it.
SPEAKER_01Okay, yeah, no. But unless here's the thing, they could have a medical condition, they might be stuffed up.
SPEAKER_00Anybody, any of these could be a medical condition. Okay, we'll just kids probably has I don't know, some kind of weird. Yeah, I don't know. No, but yeah. No, okay, I don't, it's annoying. If it's somebody I love, I would just simply ask him to put a bib over his mouth, or I'll leave the room. Yeah no. You better not. If we're on a date and the guy's like literally food's like coming out of his mouth and stuff, that's no, come on.
SPEAKER_01If food's playing out, no, girl.
SPEAKER_00Gotta catch it. Go on, you gotta save that money, girl. Okay. Ew, looks at other women when out together.
SPEAKER_01No, ick. Yeah, that's an ick. And that's happened to me before. Same. And like I won't say anything, but I'll just never go out with you again. Like, we see everything. Like, I I will analyze the shit out of you and you won't even know. Because like, that's just who I am.
SPEAKER_00But uh-uh.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_00Well, I've been in a relationship. And that's also not being in the moment.
SPEAKER_01A whole relationship.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean, the guy I was younger, and the guy was like ended up obviously being he was trying to make me jealous all the time. And he would see a girl and he'd like like jaw dropped the whole shebang. And I'm like, you know, it's like he's the guy that dragged me out of Best Buy because I smiled and said hi to the guy checking me out. Dragged me out. I couldn't even buy my CD or whatever I was buying. He was like, You're out of here. I was like, okay, and we're also done. He also punched a hole in the wall by my head, but that's a whole nother thing. He also put wet on the wall? He punched a hole in the wall by my head. But I'm saying, like, a guy that's like that will that falls under the psychopath category. But I was like, I think I was I was like 20 and yeah. Oh yeah. But yeah, he would do that to me all the time when we'd be out. He'd look at other girls, he would talk about other girls.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that there's something wrong with that. No, no, yeah. Ooh, we're getting to the last two. You have the last one doesn't know how to change a tire. Because I need you. Literally, you need to be able to call somebody that knows. Well, it's called triple A. It's a weird time we live in, though, because a lot of guys don't know how to do a lot of the manly things. But like if I see you and like you pop a tire and you can't change your own tire, I'm just not sure how I feel about that. Yeah. Like I want to learn how to change my own tire, just so I know. But then I was like, do I really? Because I asked my dad, I'm like, can you help me change, like, teach me how to change my tire? And then it came time where he's gonna teach me, and I'm like, no, thanks.
SPEAKER_00That seems exhausting. Yeah, it just I just got my nails done. So it's just it's a hard pass.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it would not be my thing.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so I don't know. Like, I would say probably an ick. I don't think I've dated anybody or been in a relationship with somebody that doesn't know how to do that.
SPEAKER_01I think some men with a lot of money or have been taken care of their whole life will not know.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's fine. They can pay for it for me too. So okay. Well, that's a win for both of us, but in general, probably an ick.
SPEAKER_01I like a guy that can like just be safe, like just take care of you. Like, you need to know that you can call that man and he will like show up fully.
SPEAKER_00Fully.
SPEAKER_01Without what is it? Like one of those tire things? Jax, thank you. I'll see. I'm already on the right track, I think. I think so. I think that you could probably change a tire. Girl. Maybe I'll just call you next time my tire pops.
SPEAKER_00I'll call an Uber. I'm leaving my card on the side of the road.
SPEAKER_02Oh no! Okay, what? Collapse when the plane lands.
SPEAKER_00That is an egg. I mean, unless you literally almost went like unless you were nosediving. Unless you just joined the mile high club or Mile High Club. Oh yeah. That's would be exciting, I guess. But unless you're doing unless you're doing roundabouts, like, you know, wing over wing, and you land the plate. Like, unless you're freaking the guy that landed on the freaking Headsend River. That's a hand clap that like deserves it.
SPEAKER_01But but like just a standard, like no. What if it's like a slow clap?
SPEAKER_00Like that's even party's slow game. No, no guy, nobody. It's so weird. I've only seen that a couple of times. And I'm like, what are you doing, man? Like, why are you clapping?
SPEAKER_01Like, well, and and too, at times I'm like looking around, like, should I be clapping? Like, I'm like, should I be doing it? Something out?
SPEAKER_00Somebody get engaged? Because I don't know. I feel like that's like we should just go into the flight as if we're gonna actually make it out. Yes, yes. Like, we shouldn't clap like we survived. It's like, are we gonna clap when we I go to through Jack in the Box and then come home and make it home? I'm like, congratulations, pat on the back. Like, no, like I go to Jack in the Box and think it I'm gonna make it home. Oh my god, this is too great.
SPEAKER_01This is too great. I think that concludes like our game. This was fun. I can't wait to see like what next ick or noz we have. Yes. All right, everyone. Thanks for tuning in to Dear Heather.
