Dear Heather
What if the key to changing the world starts with understanding ourselves?
Welcome to Dear Heather — the podcast where mental health meets consciousness, neuroscience meets spirituality, and raw human experience meets real solutions. Hosted by Heather, a mental health advocate, super feeler, and someone who has walked through the fire of depression, anxiety, and devastating loss, this show exists for one reason: to bring awareness to the things that are breaking us and start building what will actually heal us.
Each episode is a deep dive into the full spectrum of what it means to be human — from the neuroscience of rewiring your brain and the power of neuroplasticity to the mystery of angel numbers, synchronicity, and collective consciousness. From the epidemic of youth mental health and men’s mental health to the broken systems failing the people who need them most.
From quantum physics and Schumann resonance to the quiet, radical act of learning to love yourself.
This is not surface-level self-help. This is alchemy — transforming pain into purpose, suffering into awareness, and silence into conversation.
Here’s what you can expect: real interviews with mental health professionals, neuroscientists, healers, and everyday humans who have survived the darkest of days and found their way back to the light. Every episode carries an educational element — because understanding the root cause of our suffering is the first step to ending it. We confront what isn’t working — the healthcare systems, the stigma, the disconnection — and we start talking about what will.
Dear Heather was born from personal experience. Heather is one of five brothers’ sister who lost a brother to mental illness. She has navigated her own battles with depression and anxiety for most of her life. She knows what it feels like to carry the weight of the world because you can feel everything — and she turned that into a mission: if the suffering of others hurts you, then help dismantle what’s causing it.
Whether you are on a healing journey, seeking change, or simply curious about why the world feels the way it does right now, this podcast will meet you where you are. We explore the spiritual and the scientific — yoga, meditation, and frequency healing alongside trauma recovery, emotional regulation, and the psychology of empathy. We talk about the woo-woo and the clinical. The 5D and the everyday. The mystical and the deeply practical.
Because mental illness is an epidemic. And what we’ve been doing isn’t working. So let’s get to the root of it — together.
New episodes bring fresh perspectives on consciousness, self-awareness, personal growth, suicide prevention, neurodivergence, mindfulness, holistic wellness, and the radical power of human connection. Dear Heather is more than a podcast. It’s a movement — starting with Dear Neighbor and expanding into every corner where people are suffering in silence.

Hi everyone, welcome to Dear Heather. So excited to have you back with me. I have an exciting guest today, Chris Schleerman. He is a serial entrepreneur with multiple companies founded. Chris has experience in exiting and investing in a lot of businesses. And you state that you owe everything to God and you're on a mission to save his children. So what really resonated you to me is that you have a core statement saying that you want to change the world. And my mission is very much similar. I'm on a mission to save the world with so many different aspects. There's just a lot of broken systems. There's a lot of people felt unloved and just unseen. And at the core of it, we all have experiences and we all have a lot of, I guess, learnings that we can teach other people. And so I love that you have that in your course statement. I would love, because you have quite a few accolades being a serial entrepreneur, and I'd just love for you to give just a real quick snapshot of those accolades. Like, what are you most proud of from being a serial entrepreneur? I mean, I'm sure you see the vastness of business and people and everything of the sort.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean, I think serial entrepreneur, people start to get this thing in their head of level of like sophistication and still very normal. Very normal.
SPEAKER_02Well, you wouldn't you wouldn't guess.
SPEAKER_00Like I wouldn't, I wouldn't put myself in the same line as like a Zuckerberg, right? He's obviously steps, many, many steps ahead. But I definitely would say that like from a from a accomplishment perspective, like biggest accomplishment has just been the personal growth more than anything. Like I look at business as like the ultimate school of prof prof uh personal development.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00And so that's the thing I'm like most probably proud of is how I've grown on a personal level through my years of experience in business. Um I love that. I've had I've had some successes and I've also had some pretty bad failures. Um, but and I use that from a terminology from like the worldly standpoint of how everyone will probably view it. But to me, I honestly look at all of it as a success because all of it kind of helped propel me forward. I was able to learn something from every single experience that I've gotten thus far. Um some of my earlier th situations I didn't learn from, but recent last couple years, I've learned from them now because I've been able to recall them and looked at how I could apply it to my current life.
SPEAKER_02I love that you say that because everything right now for me is a journey. I mean, uh I've just ended a 20-year cycle with marketing, not saying that I ended it. I don't know where it's gonna, where that's going to take me, but I do know that purpose is at the forefront of everything I do right now. And so I don't see making money for another big corporation, me doing the nine to five or, you know, remote working, whatever hours those may be. I don't feel like it's a driving force for me to make money for somebody else anymore. It's like you hit a wall of where purpose really starts to take control. And I love that when we were talking about the agenda, you did just say, you know, let's just go with the flow with this because a big part of it is the learnings of who you're becoming in, you know, the big successes, the big the wins, and then the big losses. And I always say a loss is nothing but a part of the story and the journey, and the journey's all it is. And you mentioned, you know, you don't even mind talking about consciousness and just to level set with uh the viewers out there, basic consciousness, and I'm reading from this so I don't uh jack it up. Uh, but basic consciousness is basically just being awake. You feel, you think, you perceive the baseline. So you're doing very basic things. And then being self-conscious is you can watch yourself. You notice your patterns, your reactions, your habits, and this is where growth lives. This is where we're gonna spend a lot of time talking about it. And then there's the higher consciousness where you really stop running on autopilot and you stop chasing and you start choosing. It actually becomes a choice of where you're actually allocating just your intent and your thoughts and your journey. And so you're responding instead of reacting. And this is crazy, but it says this is the rarest form of consciousness and the most honest place a high achiever can go. And that's why I just love that you want to talk about consciousness because when you are going through the hard times and the failures, I believe that's when you start to really get a hold on that outer mirror looking back at yourself of like who you really are and what you're bringing to this world. And so I'm curious, just being a serial entrepreneur, you've worked with the masses of you know, people with lots of money, and I'm sure you've seen people that are struggling. And so through that journey, what does consciousness mean to you? And again, how did how has that helped you kind of move through your wins and your I don't even want to call them losses, you're just challenges, I guess.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, there's a lot to break down there. I mean, I feel like once you really tap into the the higher forms of consciousness, you can really start to you can easily identify where someone's at in their journey. You can look right through them the higher you go up on that playing field. With that being said, though, and there's people that I've been around at that top tier of success in business, and they're not that high in the consciousness playing field, and then there are some others that are, and vice versa. So I think that's a completely different level than money that are not necessarily exclusive to one another. Um, but I would say though, on the consciousness piece, though, is the ability to be able to be fully in aligned with the Almighty Creator, and I'm not apologetic with my beliefs and stuff like this. I nor should you ever I'm very like in believing that of that there is an almighty creator, and we were built in his image to be a creator like him. And the more we align ourselves with that, we are able to tap into a whole nother potential, whole nother like viewpoint on the world. And you're able to just you you're able to be like forgive yourself and forgive others, and like view view your past choices differently, and like just you just look at life way different. You're way more you're able to be way more calm still and like and be able to learn from things. And this is something that's only only come to me, myself personally, last probably two years.
SPEAKER_02Oh great awakening.
SPEAKER_00The last couple years this has really kind of come to me. Granted, I do all of the stuff that so many people in that world do, like breath work, yoga, I do all that stuff every day. That wasn't what got me there though. It it was just the physical choice of choosing that I wanted to, I wanted to know more, and I was willing to just be vulnerable and be like and admit to people I have made mistakes. God, can you help me navigate this? Navigate through this and learn from like these mistakes and show me a different way. And I'm willing to hear you and listen to you, and I'm really open to your feedback of what that really looks like. Um, which previously I was not doing.
SPEAKER_02That's incredible that you said that. And I so I always talk about like when you start that higher consciousness of like really being aware of where people are at, it's like a gift and a curse.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Because it does, it makes you very not only like self-loving and self-um just like you said, you're able to look at yourself and just um love yourself for the things that you may have gotten wrong and being genuine and self-caring, but it allows you to do that for other people as well. So your judgment, not necessarily judgment, but your harshness or maybe your sympathy can grow and your empathy can grow in knowing that we're to your point, like you are very into your faith. And so I would assume that that's here's the saying: I always hear people saying, I am, is a very strong affirmation. I am this, and a lot of people say, I am the universe, I am God, I am, I hold that love within side of me. And I think that you can't give love unless you already have that within inside of yourself. And so I think that there is a beer barrier there where it does allow you to growth is hard.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And I love that you said when you learn to forgive yourself and start doing that, I feel like that is the part in which people start to change, like where they really start looking at themselves from a different point of view and honoring who they are in all the ways, in all the ways, like saying, Yes, I screwed up or I did that good, but just being a little softer with ourselves. So I love that you said that. I think that when you're talking in tiers of people, I also love that you bring up people with a lot of money, it doesn't mean that they're on that level, per se, spiritually, faithfully, however you want to call it. They're not necessarily money, doesn't there's not a graph that says if you have this much money, you're also gonna be so aware and you know, so yeah. You see it on all different levels, and you can see people that have hit, you know, there's could be homeless that know way more than somebody that has a lot of money in the bank. So um from your perspective, I'm sure you've seen um just a lot of things in the realm of consciousness and people being aware versus not.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't want to say more the last couple years, because before that I was just a chicken like everyone else, running around trying to play the game that everyone else was trying to play and not really aware of what was actually going on.
SPEAKER_02Um Do you think because you have a son? Do you think being a parent kind of opens your eyes to that or gets you there a little bit faster?
SPEAKER_00It can. It can. My son was the reason that was truthfully, my son was the reason why I was able to do what I did, saying, Hey God, can you help me? Because so I was going through a marriage situation, marriage problem.
SPEAKER_02One of the hardest you can do, like they say, financially, just love in general is hard to divorce, separation, that whole thing.
SPEAKER_00Going through one of those types of situations and like looking at my son and being like, Am I the example for him that he needs to be? Am I somebody that he can grow up and be proud of, saying that's my dad? Am I what's my role as father? Am I doing that for him? Am I modeling that for him right now? And it was an honest answer that I had to give where it was like, no, and I'm not even close.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_00I'm not even close. I need to change.
SPEAKER_02That's a big hit in the face.
SPEAKER_00And yeah, so it was like, well, what do I need to do to make that change? Am I within a spot where I can reasonably do this on my own? And it was another hard answer I had to give myself where it was like, no, and I'm not even close. There's only one way I can get there, and it's M. I got it. Like trusting in that full surrender, how do I get there? Because clearly what I've been doing doesn't work. It's not working. I'm not gonna analytically think my way through this, like so many of nearly everyone on this planet thinks they can do.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, logic and all of the other things, the very 3D kind of things that we're taught to do.
SPEAKER_00No matter how smart you think you are, you're not smart enough.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And so I had to like think through it and be like, all right, how am I gonna get through this? Well, I'm gonna get through this through him, and it's gonna help elevate me to that next level.
SPEAKER_02So there's like an element of surrender there. Cause I what really was the aha moment for me is like really surrendering into the fold. And surrendering doesn't mean giving up or just laying in bed saying, oh, the universe or God is gonna take care of XYZ. It's really having an intention of where you want to go, but letting go of how it's gonna happen, when it's gonna happen, and like how that looks. And I I do believe like navigating through relationships and even business partnerships, it's going to make you look at yourself in a different way. And I love that you kind of had that conversation with yourself and your faith of saying, like, just get me there. I don't know how I'm gonna get there, but get me there. It's that trust, right? That faith. But with that, I mean, it's interesting to say that you wanted to be a good role model for your son, and you had all the things. You're financially set, you've uh um accumulated a fantastic resume. Most people would be proud to even have a fourth of. And so it's interesting to hear you say I wasn't fitting the role in which I I knew I could do better for my son. And that was that other element of maybe just being a fully human, maybe. I don't know, but you had you had already accomplished all the other things, you know what I mean? That makes sense.
SPEAKER_00I don't know, yeah, I don't know about that either. I mean, I haven't I've had moments of being financially said, moments of not as well. So I mean, I think a lot of times people will look in business and just instantly be like, oh, this person's sold a business or invested in a business, and they just instantly think a certain package.
SPEAKER_02Right, okay.
SPEAKER_00And that's not necessarily accurate either. I think I know a lot of people who are like high net worth on paper and their cash in the bank is cash poor. I mean, I look at like Elon Musk when he he had a net worth of like a hundred and fifty billion when he bought Twitter and EA, it took him five months to actually get enough cash to buy it at like uh organizations like this. Well, why is that the case? Well, because in his account, I guarantee he didn't have more than maybe 500 million to a billion in his account. So did he actually have a five hundred and fifty billion dollar net worth the net worth like the net net is like you gotta like look at that, right? Right? It's like just what you're like I I invested in a in a company called Ollipop, and I've got significant shares, like well not significant shares, but pretty decent amount of shares that's worth a decent amount of money now. Ollipop's a multi-billion dollar company now at this point. I invested in one that was really, really low, so I've got a great multiple, but I don't have that money in my account right now.
SPEAKER_02Right. No, I so I totally understand the way.
SPEAKER_00But but to frame the concept of what you were mentioning before of like it was just a lot of things. There was a lot of aspects in my life of how I was showing up in relationships with his mom, with him, um with my family, um, his mom's family, um work relationships. That was a huge one, work relationships, church relationships, where it was just like and then even my relationship with my God and myself in pretty much all these different aspects of life where it was like no, this isn't it. This isn't I I'm not doing what I need to do. Not to say that others can't look at themselves in the mirror as well and say that, but I can only be responsible for myself. And I I look in the mirror and I'm like, no, I'm not doing what I need to do. At the time I was 250 pounds. Today I sit before you I'm at 205.
SPEAKER_02Okay, yeah, and really bad with weight and height, because you're a tall guy, so is that normal?
SPEAKER_00At the time I was 250 and like obviously chubby chubby.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so you weren't feeling great.
SPEAKER_00I was not my best, excuse me. And I was I was I was really not my best. Um and I was just angry and depressed and all these things at the time I'd go on, like there were several things going on personally, and that it just I was like not my best. I went through a little lull. It was like the previous year before I had hit some stuff that had turned into a little bit of a lull. And then I was like, all right, we gotta make a change. And then I exited my last company, literally was like crazy, like 30 days after 30 to 60 days or whatever after I had this hard conversation with God. I sold my uh I was able to exit a company like 30 to 60 days later. Um crazy how that went. And then I went on a little, you know, was able to go on a small little run after that. But it's just like not to say that I attach those things, but well, it's hard not to detach me.
SPEAKER_02That's why I say when I talk about the 3D world, we're very taught we're taught to um, I guess, put on the pedestal and materialistic things, and then obviously that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense when we're brought to this earth and leave this earth alone without the things. Um, so that's been like a journey of mine is really trying to detach. I like nice things, I like being able to provide for my son, I like having that security, but at the end of the day, is that really fulfilling? And I had to, again, part of my surrender part of my journey is learning to love. If I didn't have these things, I have to envision what my life would look like and how could I be happy with that? And a lot of it is when you're giving and you're helping and you're just trying to make a difference um in people's lives, it's you can't, there's no price tag on that. There's and it's a feeling, and that feeling, I don't even know if it has words attached to it, but it's something that I think we all have deep down in us, and I think we all have different talents to help move that forward. So I know, like again, faith is a big part of you and who you are, and so and wanting to change the world. I'm just kind of curious, like, how do you feel looking forward on the things that you want to do, knowing what you know now about you know, just viewing yourself a little differently and being a little bit more gracious with who you are?
SPEAKER_00Is there a good question?
SPEAKER_02A common theme of like what you want to accomplish moving forward? Like, what's in your gut, like what's in your heart right now of like if I don't do this, then I didn't do my job.
SPEAKER_00Well, I feel like if I don't help other people come to their, you know, come closer to God, then I failed. That's kind of where I'm at. Like, I I as much as I I guess from the worldly view, I they'd be like, Oh, you're a bad businessman, Chris, because you don't actually care about the business.
SPEAKER_02I don't actually that makes the best business people that don't look at the business, they look at the people, that's the magic trick.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because like my focus right now is more on like how do I make sure I keep me and my household in line with God, and then how can I advance the program of heaven here on earth with others? That's where I kind of put more of my focus on. Oh, I love that. And I don't and I don't view the program from the concept of like religion because it because again, I actually have a maybe it's a contrarian viewpoint, but I don't believe religion is of God. I believe religions by definition are actually were actually invented to divide mankind, control concepts, and we see so many of these like world, like world wars and stuff that come from religion, quote unquote. Is it actually of God or is it of religion? I love that we're going here. Religion, I feel like, is actually more of a Satan Satan thing where he was built, he literally builds these religions to like divide, but like the core root of the spirituality aspect is actually universal, and everyone has kind of like buries it with a whole bunch of traditions that they put in their different religion sects that just divides them from everyone else. When really it's like, hey, everyone look around the mirror, we're all the same.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I love you said that because like for me personally, I never know really what areas to touch on when I'm talking to somebody very faith-based, because I'm very spiritual. But when I do like a bird's eye view of what that means, yeah, somebody I'm LDS Mormon by by the way. Oh, I can't wait for this.
SPEAKER_00I attend the LDS Mormon church, but I do not believe that everything that goes in the LDS Mormon church is like I don't align with all of it.
SPEAKER_02Like I love that though, I strip the traditions out. I love that you can have a healthy vision on that and like you stick to that because a lot of people, it has to be black or white, it has to be this or not this, and it helps people stay on cue of like it's almost like a system of like, well, if we stay in this line, then we're good, and everybody else is bad if they're not doing it, you know. There that's where it creates the divide of I'm better or worse, and we're all one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02In my mind, and I've always thought about this from a bird's eye view. When I look at manifesting or I surrender and I give just trust into the universe that whatever is meant for me will be for my highest good, it's almost the Same as what people do when they pray. They are trusting, they're asking, but they're trusting their God to provide for them. Same thing with manifesting, if you're truly surrendering, you're really just believing that what you need will find you as it needs to find you. But I do agree, so systematic religion and um organized religion, that's what's always scared me about really going down the I I guess the religious road. Because I actually grew up a small portion of my life being Jehovah's Witness. And so that was really hardcore. And I didn't, I wasn't grown up in that. They're very strict, very strict, so I grew up having Christmas and all these things and having freedom, and then part of my life was as a child that was all taken away, and then I was thrown into this. So I have a very different perception of religion because I saw what it did to me personally when I wasn't really understanding what was happening. But not to get too off topic, I just love that you brought up like it doesn't have to be black or white, it can be you can believe in your goal is very much the same as as mine. I want people to learn how to love themselves, and you're there just saying, I want to help humanity, you know, find their way the same. And I find I think finding your way is actually really I think they're the same thing. They're the same thing.
SPEAKER_00I think they're the same thing because if you've as you if you really do truly like align with God and get closer to him, you're finding yourself. Why? Because if you look at God really who it is, you should be looking in a mirror. That's that's you were built by him to become him.
SPEAKER_02Full circle moment, the whole I am theory is like I am, I am this, I am God, I am what's carrying like the divine, like what created me, I am. I hold that in in within me. And I think I am gets overplayed because I don't think I think it's becoming a loose term where people don't really quite understand the depth of what that means.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And it's really so many people. This is a story I like to say, and I wonder if you find similar similarities in this, is I didn't even know that I didn't know who I was until I was 39 and 40, almost 42. So we're talking about most of my life I'm going through, and I know I have a good heart, and I know I have a mission, I know there's something there, but I didn't know who I was. Like I was always performing for my family or performing for the guy I'm dating or my friends, or and I never really truly I was never making decisions for myself.
SPEAKER_00That's all of us, that was me.
SPEAKER_02And I think a lot of people are going through that.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02And we're just performing. I think that's where the performance comes in. Like hit this financial situation, you know, have these accolades on your resume, all these things when deep down you'll hit all those things after you learn who you are. Because you have to know who you are to know what your purpose is. And I think we all have a purpose. We we all are given a talent to do something to help humanity. I truly believe that. I just don't think people listen. I think people are overwhelmed and burnt out. So, how would you talk about not get so you've no you've mentioned parts in which you've hit the wall and not achieved certain things or maybe struggled through through challenges. How do you convince yourself to get back up and do it and keep going and keep doing it and keep believing in yourself and keep the faith when it could be when sometimes you just don't even want to get out of bed?
SPEAKER_00Well, I think that if you're truly converted to the faith, then you're gonna keep going because you don't let chall challenges aren't going to sway you off. Like if you really know who you are, yes, nothing it's just gonna be like a blip. You could have like a hardcore thing hummed to you and it's like a blip. You just let it slide right off.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that hits so well right there.
SPEAKER_00Because you literally because if you really truly know who you are, that's all temp, these are all temporary things. You realize you're an eternal being, so the temporary things just slide right off. You don't need to worry about those things. Like you could have a legal situation come up, a financial challenge pop up, a big fight with somebody, a physical injury that pops up, or a big health challenge that pops up. Those are temporary setbacks. Absolutely, you're an eternal being, those are just blips in your timeline.
SPEAKER_02Oh gosh, see, you're hitting all the keywords. Eternal being, like speaking my language. I love that.
SPEAKER_00So that's where it's like I used to let those things really like sway me down, completely overcome who I overcome like my everyday and like dwell on stuff. I would let that happen. And yes, don't I was like constantly trying to perform as well, constantly trying to perform and try to put on this image of being something different than I really was, which all of us do, and it's hypocrisy when other people will call other people out for doing the same thing that they're currently doing to that same person. Yeah, um, because like that's what everyone's doing, and this concept of like a lot of the mental health terms that people are so quick to just throw out these days to just like diagnose another person. It's like actually take a step back and realize that pretty much everyone in this room is actually guilty of this. And let's just actually have a little bit more grace with one another, a little bit more understanding with one another, and focus on improving ourselves because we ourselves are broken, but but there's an app, but there's a remedy in your pocket ready to just heal that heal that break that you can just take at any moment. Yeah, and you just need to tap in. And I don't know, that's just kind of where I'm at.
SPEAKER_02I okay, and what you said earlier just um it went right back in my brain of when you realize that you're admitting that you're wrong about something, I think that was a big aha moment for me. As when I started taking accountability, and I would just take, even if I wasn't wrong in the argument or whatever discussion, whatever it may be, taking that accountability and just saying, hey, listen, I didn't perform my best, I didn't act my best, I could have done this better. You're not giving that person like a a um, I guess, a an excuse. But what you are doing is giving your key for freedom. For me, when I own that stuff, it's like a cloud, regardless if it's my cloud to own or not, is automatically wiped off my shoulders because I feel like it's so much easier to just be the bigger person sometimes. And I'm not saying to always take the brunt of something if you're not wrong. Like, stand up for what you believe in and all of those things. But when you can really step back and say, oh, I could have done that better, even though it could be like you're 50% the issue, there's so much freedom in that. There's so much freedom in that of like, okay, instead of like when you harbor this ill just feeling and you want to be right, you're really just holding on to it, this black cloud.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I would also say that like the only one who really wins is Satan. Because truthfully, like again, that's what I'm saying. Like, remember your eternal identity and remember the eternal identity of the other person. Getting into these situations where things escalate from a standpoint of like smear campaigns, or I need to inflict pain on that person, or this turns into a legal thing, or whatever it is, it's a blip. Just why are you why are we allowing our energy to be put into this? Because if you're putting your energy into this, you're not putting your energy into things that are more positive. You're not working on yourself, you're not building, you're not creating, you're not in a state of creation, you're in a state of consumption. You are like you're allowing your energy to be shifted in a bad direction. And so, like, just move on and just remember who you really are and just like let it go.
SPEAKER_02That is so quantum. Learn to let go. That is that that's so quantum to me. And what I mean by that is like when we talk about like giving something negative space, that's a very low frequency thing, and you're not gonna create anything good out of a low frequency state. And we're talking, you know, fear, hate, judgment, all those things are very low frequency, and if that's what you're constantly having inside of you, there's the universe can't meet you with anything but that. So when you take the time, and that's why I was talking about alchemy, like taking something that might not be favorable and turning it into something that in your mind is favorable favorable, your brain really doesn't know the difference. So you're really doing a disjustice if you're sitting there talking negatively, participating in negative anything and behavior, yes, you're really doing a disservice.
SPEAKER_00It's the same thing with like in you know, overall like entitlements and anything in that realm. Like you're really just uh becoming a servant of the devil. You're allowed you're being controlled by him.
SPEAKER_01Like a tool.
SPEAKER_00You're becoming you're becoming a tool of him to then spew chaos into the world when it's like, hold up, you weren't created by him, you were created by God. You're you should go and be a tool for God's cre for God's work, he's creation, the other guy's consumption. So like step into that. Now there's a lot of no misnomer, I feel like, in today's world of like whole consumption. You know, I see people who again because people have to go into like extremes. People who are in the consumption versus creation conversation will immediately be like, well, that means you can't listen to music or read books or that's all consumption. Oh, that's bullshit. No, you can definitely read music and watch TV shows and all that because certain certain uh certain media was uh designed, yeah, was designed to uh uh uh uh educate you or uh help you or uh incite a certain type of emotion or feeling or state of being that you need that you need to be in that is creation, but so it's like no, you can definitely you can definitely watch shows and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_02You see again, life is fluid, and everyone in this planet just helps to like define things super black and white, and there's no that's my biggest thing, the black and white thing, because I'm such like an open-minded person that I don't see it very structured like that. I don't have a structure. I almost would put it as like you the human are the filter. So like anything good or bad can come in, but what you pivot and put out there, even like you're talking about media and TV, anything that you're consuming or coming through your human body, you at that filteration, you should be able to either alchemize it and output something good. But if you allow that negativity to go through your body and filter it and you push back out negativity, you're only adding on and snowballing to that effect. So you can't, I guess you can't fight fire with fire, right? That like it's the same principle.
SPEAKER_00It it takes real like literally, like these principles have like real impact on what it looks like on your physical body and everything. So this the weight I lost just came from a state of just changing the energy I was allowing in my body. Literally, it's not cra anything crazy, it's just changing little small things to get yourself back in alignment.
SPEAKER_02Did you know that you were your body was going to take a big change when you started doing those little practices or little changes mentally? Because you said you lost weight, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I on my lowest I had actually lost about 55 pounds.
SPEAKER_02And that was from like a mental Yeah, well, it was just I had a big a couple big catastrophic aspects.
SPEAKER_00I mean I I'll try to always use terminology to for people to catch on. But like big catastrophic situations in my I look at metamores as like big fundamental pivots that like happened in my life that I started doing certain things kind of naturally as like a defense mechanism, and then I was like, it allowed me to kind of like tap in and be like, wait a second, I I want to keep doing this. I want to keep doing this, and then I had that big wake-up moment, and it was like one of the first things that I had heard that I'd kind of felt was listen to your body. Your body will tell you what to eat every day, your body will tell you when to eat every day, how much to eat every day, your body will tell you what life of ac exercise and activity you're you're you need every day. You don't need to worry about anything else. Your body was already programmed to tell you these things and know exactly what it needs.
SPEAKER_02Ugh, that is so and you could tell with even stress, like I can tell, like if I'm like kinked up somewhere, I'm like, okay, what's bothering me? Because, you know, we go to bed and we're holding on to it, we clench our jaws and the stress, and and also I talk about this all the time on my podcast, you'll hear me talk about it all the time. Is that not only listening to your body, part of that is that feeling of that gut feeling of like, oh, that doesn't feel right. Even if you look at your phone, you're like, okay, this this person, I'm not getting a good feeling that stresses me out. That is the body's system telling you what to pay attention to. Even something is like we got to look at our intuition almost like a body part and taking care of that too, because we don't so so many times we just overlook what we're feeling, and maybe it doesn't feel good hearing from that person. Well, that might be an indication that person needs to go.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Or you need to break or you need to set boundaries if it's a person like family member that you can't get out of your life.
SPEAKER_00That's a it doesn't even mean anything wrong with them. It's just the energy they're bringing at that moment needs to be.
SPEAKER_02And so listening and honoring that, because so many times I have so many friends that are like, but I'm just so nice and I need to do that. Well, okay, but you need to have so much self-love that you put yourself first and then take care of that person. Don't we no more putting these people first because that's not doing anybody justice for themselves, and it collectively that's not doing justice for anybody, it's not helping anybody. Like, treat yourself the best way possible. And I don't care if people are gonna say ego or whatever, you gotta take care of yourself first.
SPEAKER_00You have to. You gotta take care of yourself. I mean, people when people make a comment to try to put someone else down because they're doing because of setting up a boundary, that's more them projecting themselves on where they're at in life than anything else. But I I would say, like from the food perspective, again, I lost that 55 pounds eating burritos, nachos, and pizza.
SPEAKER_02What? Tell me your ways because those are all my favorite foods.
SPEAKER_00And literally not going to the gym. I didn't go to the gym one day. I have not gone to the gym one day in the last two and a half years.
SPEAKER_02I'm telling you, mental oh, that gives me chills.
SPEAKER_00I do not go to the gym, I do not work out in the traditional way. And I'm telling you right now, I'll kick anyone's ass fitness-wise because I've just tapped into who I actually am.
SPEAKER_02Oh, this is so this is quantum physics, you guys. This is mental. Because we are a mental Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00We are we are the original AI. Our spirit is the original AI, and the body's the hardware. Like it's the original software. Right. And so, like, which is again, I just think it's the ego of man to try to build AI, to try to like replicate what he's already done when there's a different way to do it. Anyway, what I would say from the from the food from this food standpoint, it was literally just tapping in to be like, all right, well, what is my body craving? And it would literally tell me, I would literally I wake up, I do this every morning. I wake up every every morning, early, early morning, and it will totally literally tell me like carbs, meat source, fruit, vegetables. It literally will tap sugar. Sugar's not bad. You can eat sugar. I eat ice cream sandwiches every day.
SPEAKER_02Like literally, like tap telling you it's all mind over water.
SPEAKER_00Literally tap in to be like, all right, well, what does my body need today? How much does it eat? Does it need to eat? What time of the day does it need food? And I I'd started to kind of have some of these moments, these feelings of kind of where I was with this two and two or three years prior, but I just wasn't in a current living situation to pull it off. Um but at that point where it's just like me, myself, and I, I was like, all right, well, I can try these. And yeah, it works. I I wake up I eat at like I wake up at like 5, 6 a.m. I usually wake up fairly early and I eat when I first wake up, and I don't eat the rest of the day. I literally like you're going through a body fast because your body's telling you fast, like 24-hour fast every day for the last two years, like crazy 24-hour fast, and then and I eat, I and I have a certain portion size, and it literally is slightly different each day because my body's telling me when I'm like at that moment, and then just like I go through the day and it just like resets, resets.
SPEAKER_02It's so crazy that we're talking about this now because I just restarted my workout regimen because I box about four times a week, and then I do hot yoga about four times a week, and then I hike about three times a week. So all those within a week, but then my body was getting so overwhelmed because I would do each, like I hike for mental, I do yoga for my true meditation and just to let my body know I see, I feel all the muscles and all of that. Um, and then boxing, of course, just for the the strength part of it. But I when I start thinking about like when I put my body through all that and I'm expecting my body to look or feel a certain way, my body actually does the opposite of what I'm asking it to do. And so I recently started doing this last few weeks of just honoring what do I feel? And it goes, I don't plan the night before anymore of like what my physical activity is gonna be. It's gonna be exactly what my body needs because a lot of the time, sometimes you're mentally exhausted, and so your brain can't even give your body what it needs to repair. I mean, the body is a magnificent thing, but yeah, all this to say when I was having expectations and doing all the work with working out, I was actually gaining weight. I wasn't liking the way my body was looking. And there could be reasons for that. You tear muscles, you gain water weight, but it wasn't that. I've been doing this long enough to know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And as soon as I just started honoring my body and, like, okay, is my body tired today? Can I only do a hike today? Okay, do that. And then that's when everything really starts kind of flowing. I don't know how else to say it, but the flow.
SPEAKER_00Oh, the flow is it?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you don't resist what your body's telling you anymore. So it's funny.
SPEAKER_00I had talked with a guy who lives out here, he's like to the world, he's like a celebrity influencer, fitness guy. Oh, and when he preaches publicly versus what he told me, kind of behind the scenes are like a little slightly different. And he kind of told me behind the scenes, he's all like, truthfully, man, like what you need is just mindful movement.
SPEAKER_02Mindful movement, mindful movement is what you need. I heard that.
SPEAKER_00And it was like, and then he put out like a video about it, like I don't know, a little like maybe a few weeks later, where he was like talking about like the bet the difference between what it like running, running versus uh like walking on the body. And he was talking about how like really the body needs to walk more than it needs to run, based on like how the body was actually built and design. And I'm like, that's pretty much what I do. I get about 20 to 25,000 steps a day, and just from constant movement. But I have certain days where they're lower, and I used to beat myself up and like tell myself I had to hit those numbers, and then exactly what you're talking about, like the moment when I just sort of again when I just let loose and be like, I'll just let the body do what it's gonna do. Yes, I'll have days at 9,000 and I sleep that night completely just fine, like not worrying about what I get each day. I don't look at like at my step totals every day now until like I look, I look just to check check in with myself every couple of weeks. You know what I found? They pretty much average out every over a two-week, just naturally moving at the pace that my body says to do, as like if I just get up and start moving when it says to go, I start looking back two weeks later and I'm like, actually, it all kind of just averaged out at around 20,000.
SPEAKER_02Interesting observation.
SPEAKER_00And it's like just let the body, let the body do what it needs to do. Yeah, let it speak to you at its pace that it needs to move at.
SPEAKER_02I mean, from the dawn of time, we hear this, and it doesn't matter what religion, there's one thing that is always the same concept, and it is go within. Like, go within. Like you always like there it's something so simple, but like when there's a lot of truth to that. Like you have to start listening to your body, and not saying that that the religious part, but I'm saying like even God is within or the universe is within. And there's so much more there's the the avenues we can go on this. Um, and we're out of time, but I really like where we started and where we've ended really on this topic, because again, that's just the beginning, and I think that there's so many more um conversations that could be had around this. But I do believe people are waking up. I do believe I've seen a a change in the last year or so. People kind of having to face themselves and and start taking accountability.
SPEAKER_00For sure. And I didn't on like the I started my career more focused on why I think what people call like traditional business. I started building I built a tech company and then I did a sports a sports like a talent representation business and then I went back to tech. And then I got into real estate for a little bit and then as I what I'm doing now it's not traditional at all. I'm in the relationship business.
SPEAKER_02Tell me more about that really quick.
SPEAKER_00There's enough time to hear about this I'm in the relationship business where like I run networking events and I do and I run a social club and like and we can talk about it offline but it's like because again I'm more focused on that because but I don't I don't track what the dollars and cents look like every day. I'm more looking at like lives I can touch.
SPEAKER_02Holistic and then fulfillment belief that like your needs will be met.
SPEAKER_00Your needs will be met. You wake up every day and your needs will be met. But surrender. Focusing on all right God what do you need me to do? Okay God says you need to go and impact people's lives every day and this is I need you to impact lives in this way. This is your piece in the puzzle great well then think not on tomorrow the Sermon on the mount think on not on tomorrow. Your needs will be met don't think of don't think of the your food your sleep of the next day you'll be fine.
SPEAKER_02That is the key that is the big unlock of manifestation of knowing and you can't fake it like fake it until you actually like it does take practice to get used to that kind of mentality took me I mean I still have to practice it but like when you start automatically even when something bad happens or unfavorable right there. Right there saying I will be taken care of this was meant to be for my highest self like it's it is the journey and yeah the journey wouldn't be fun if we didn't have like the kind of like hills that we go through and the ups and downs.
SPEAKER_00It's super fun.
SPEAKER_02It's it's hard. It's super fun. It's super fun. But I just want to say thank you so much for coming on and being so open and vulnerable because I know that you're a busy man and there's just a lot to talk about in the realm especially the space of consciousness and I feel like we just kind of touched the surface on that. Yeah so we'll we'll maybe have to have another discussion kind of going a little bit more granular. But thank you Chris where can people find you if they wanted to get a hold of you or are you more private and you don't want to be talked to I tend to be a little bit more private these days.
SPEAKER_00I tended to be a little bit more public ears in the past I built my my like LinkedIn following at one point we pretty large.
SPEAKER_02Yeah you have like 1300 followers on LinkedIn I want to say I haven't even touched in four years.
SPEAKER_00Interesting I I was I'd probably be at 30 plus by now if I really kept going and pushing but like I just stopped caring. And like I'm a bit more private these days. At one point I was starting to get into the podcast space too and I filmed I don't know probably 80 episodes. 80 that's a big that's a big uh mile marker I like completely 180 pivot from all of that because I was like you honor yourself. I I don't know again again it's like the concept of like really alignment I'd filled this like really big pole of like yeah don't go public eye stay off public eye and so there's so much more peace being private.
SPEAKER_02Yeah so much more peace.
SPEAKER_00But I I try to be a person where it's like as much as I'm not like in the public eye because I'm not trying to be like a media person at the same time I am relatively easy to get a hold of really anybody who knows me knows how to get a hold of me. But if you don't know then you don't know you're not part of the cool kids club you can like my LinkedIn you can check out my LinkedIn um and you can pretty much find me that way or if you can reach out to her she knows me now and so she knows how to get a hold of me.
SPEAKER_02And we should have it linked below you guys all the socials that you might need of course feel free to contact me if you have a question for Chris that um may not reach your inbox because you are quite the person on LinkedIn.
